Please tell me it's NOT going to rain for my entire trip!!!

Well we were there for a week in mid May and it did rain every day and it rained and it rained. The pattern seemed to be that it might not be raining for a few hours in the morning but then it would start about mid day and rain hard the rest of the day. At first we tried to have a positive attitude but by the middle of the week all of us were ready to come home. It was without a doubt the worst Disney trip we've ever had. That's the main reason we're going back next month. We felt like we never really had a Disney trip in May. I wish you good luck, but I hope what happened to us doesn't happen to you.

Pretty sure I was there the same week as wolfpack and tecodis (May 16-23), and like they said, it really isn't the same when it rains all the time every day. Like wolfpack said, it was easily the worst Disney trip I've ever been on, to the point where nobody even wanted to leave the room (but we did!) after three or four days. On the bright side, I figure the weather can't ever be worse than it was on that trip. I believe we saw the sun twice, on the first day we arrived, and waiting for the bus/on the plane on the day we left... lol

If you're still a week out from your vacation I wouldn't worry too much as the forecast will probably be entirely different by the time you get there. I hope everything turns out for the best :)

I've come to terms with Mother Nature, and whatever she deals out is fine with me. What the sence of stressing over something I have no control over?

I'm packing today and I've already pulled out the ponchos and umbrellas.

All I know, is, that in about 48 hours, I'll be in WDW!! :yay::yay::banana::banana:

Update - we had storms Tuesday night and it's raining now. But it was totally sunny this morning and early afternoon, not all day rains.

:thanks: I really appreciate the update!!! Hope you're having a great vacation. How long are you there for???

Well, it can't rain as much as it did when I was there the week before Memorial Day. They had over 10" of rain that week. Daytona area had something like 30" of rain! That's a drought breaking kind of rain event and the odds of an all week rain like that again are pretty slim.

We were there that week. It was brutal!!!! We are going back next week...lightning can't strike twice in one year...can it;)

It has been great! Leaving Saturday evening. It has been very hot. We've been trying to get out early, come back in the afternoon for a break, then go back out in the evening. Hoping this rain will pass in the next hour, then head possibly to Epcot.

It's Florida in the summer. It rains here practically everyday (sometimes severe thunderstorms) but it does not rain all day.

If your lucky it will rain in the late afternoon and cool things off.

Usually I never worry about the weather in WDW. But we've had soooo much rain here in NY that I forgot what the sun actually looks like! :rotfl2:

It looks like all of us headed there this weekend will be fine. Sunny hot days right through to Thursday.

I'm packed and ready to go!!!

Thank you all for listening and comforting this ole gal headed to WDW for her "50 something" birthday!!!!! :cheer2:

Glad you're having such a good time. I just saw that Orlando is headed into the mid 90's again today. Hummmm....think a change in what tops I bring is in order. I need lighter tops I think.

Our plan is much like yours; out early then back for either a swimm or just relaxing in the room then back out in the early evenings.

Well, you'll be leaving when I'm arriving. Have a safe trip home and thanks again for your help!!

We are leaving tomorrow, and I was afraid to open this thread until now, LOL!

Sounds like we will have at least some sun over the coming days. Don't mind a few afternoon showers, but hate the lightening yikes. Have a great trip everyone!

Well I'm here at the Boardwalk and guess what??? NO RAIN!!!:cool1::cool1
The forecast for the week calls for sunny days, high heat, and scattered thunder showers which is the norm. So I stressed for nothing.

Carol A - have a great time!!! I know I will.

Thanks everyone for putting up with me last week. Oh and I got my birthday button. How cool is that????:thumbsup2
