I just booked Vero Beach for 8-16-03 to 8-23-03, please tell me I won't be disappointed. We booked an Inn Ocean View room with balcony, and I'm hoping that this will be a fun relaxing vacation for all of us. I did get the Disney Club discount on the room, but can anyone tell me if they ever have code rates that come out on this resort? I had to go a one night deposit and they told me I can pay prior to arival or when I check in is this correct? Thanks in advance for any info you can give me on this resort.

I'm not real familiar with this resort, but since this is a vacation club resort, if you go on the DVC board, there are lots of folks over there that have stayed at Vero. The DVC board is about halfway down the drop down list. I do know that you could rent points from a DVC member instead of booking through Disney and save a ton of money though. Have fun!

YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED!!!!

We have been at least 4 times and are going back in October.

The pool is great, the beach is great, the slide is fun. The restaurants are very good. They have a great seafood buffet 2 nights a week.

There are tons of activities for everyone.

Go to dvc-resorts.com and you will be able to get more info on the resort.

We always stay in an Inn Ocean View room. Love it. We always stay in 2216 and we can also see the pool. A lot of people stay on the 3rd or 4th floor for a better view of the ocean.

We have gone to Vero several times without going to WDW and it was the perfect vacation. Quite often, we never even leave the resort our entire vacation.

I think the Disney Club discount and the Birnbaum discount are the only discounts available at VB-for people paying cash who aren't DVC members.

The one night deposit is standard.

You will love it. Feel free to post with any more questions.

You won't be disappointed. However, depending on who is going...it sounds like you will be there a long time. I went last summer with my teens/twentysomethings. We were there for 2 nights, which was perfect for them. Two days on the beach and they were ready for WDW.
The view from the ocean view Inn room is unbelieveable!!! Try to get up and see the sunrise.

We are going to Vero Beach for 2 nights in June. We will also be staying in an Ocean view Inn room.

I'll be sure & post a report.

We've been for 7 nts, 5nts, 4nts, and 6 nts. and it always goes by too fast.

We usually alternate days between pool and beach and rent movies, try and do brunch at Sonya's and the seafood buffet.

We always look at the activity sheet they give you at check in and see if we want to do anything.

In October we were there for a week and went to the pool and beach-took one day to drive in to town. I don't think we did any of the planned activities and we still felt like we hadn't been there long enough.

Are you traveling with children? Will you have a car to drive in to town?

Just relax and enjoy. It sounds like you will have plenty of time to do whatever you want.

We stayed at Vero for the first time last year. It's a great resort with alot of activities for the kids. Sign the kids up early if they see any thing interesting on the schedule. Also, if you have a car, I would shoot over to Wal-Mart and purchase some inexpensive beach chairs. They rent them at the resort but the price was kinda high. You will have a great time !
