Would love to hear how folks like Vero. We would try to get a 2 bedroom in late July/early Aug. Our kids are 17,14 and 9. Two Aug. ago we rented a place on the gulf in Ft. Walton and my kids loved it. They lived on the beach. Now I know the Atlantic is totally different but Vero has to be nice if it is DVC..right????? I would like to do a split stay at Vero for maybe 3 nights and then 4 or 5 at WDW OKW or SSR. Should we do Vero first or last? IS 3 nights enough at Vero? Please feel free to give me tips/advice on this possible trip. Is Vero hard to get into at the 7th month window. My window is NOW. Thanks

We have a few threads on Planning and Mouse right now that have some great Vero information.

In addition to that, I know there have been some posting that Vero was not available for points in June and July dates already. I would suggest calling right away if you want to try for some dates in July or August.

We are booked for July 2 nights at Vero prior to our 7 night BWV trip. I like to wind down a bit before hitting WDW. I think either before or after the WDW trip is nice though.

Good luck!

I will be going first week of Aug 3-5th in an OVIR. I think I am more excited about the Vero trip than my BWV trip!! Best of luck getting a ressie....as the OP said, I would call right away!! :beach:

We love WDW, but only go once every few years. First week of August is going to be prime time at WDW. It is going to be fun, crazy crowded, and at times stressful. August is not prime time for VB. I would definitely save VB for last to allow for the winding down time.

Your kids will have great fun boogie boarding in the ocean and everyone will love having the room soooo close to the beach and the pool. Meaning that at any time anyone wanting (or needing) to go back to the room they can be there in a short walk.

If your kids are into tennis or basketball, they have those facilities across the street and you can get there via a Disney tunnel under the street. There is also a small lake and grilles over there. They have a short nature trail the works around one side of the water, and they have a hike/bike trail that runs from there up to Pelican Island.

Truly, It will still be fun, but everyone will just breathe a sigh of relief and feel like the sun is your friend rather than the enemy.

Have a great trip. :beach:
