Will be at WDW next week and plan on doing ee on Monday. We are staying at the BC and always rent a car. We will do ee then back to BC for rest and then off to Epcot.
I remember reading no too long ago why it is not a good idea to drive to MK for ee but don't remember why. Is it the monorails from TTC don't start that early? If that is correct, I should be at the bus stop by 6:50 am to get the first 7:00 am but for 7:30 am ee. Correct? Thanks :)

I think you are right and the monorial does not run from TTC to EE, because EE is for resort guests. Don't know if there is any way around that.

Im not sure but could you walk from TTC to the Polynesian and then hop on the monorail from there?

That's true. You need to take a bus or a resort monorail. The only way around this is to drive and park at one of the MK resorts (but this is frowned upon and you'd probably have to lie to the guard and say you were going to have breakfast at the resort). Even then they may give you only a three hour parking pass. I'd suggest taking the bus from the BC. I usually have a rental car but I always take the bus to the MK. It's so much easier than having to park at the TTC.

The resort monorail will be running early for early entry, so you should still be able to drive to the TTC. You'll need to show the CM your resort ID's so you can get on the monorail.

Good idea, Camcolt, but I'm not sure whether the TTC parking lot is open that early.

TTC parking is open in time for EE. Go to TTC and get on the RESORTS MONORAIL. Get off at the third stop, Magic Kingdom.

hmmm, maybe I will park at TTC, go to Poly and take the resort monorail. This would make it easier going back to BC after ee.

Why use the car to go MK EE in the first place?

Scenario 1: Walk to car in parking lot at BC, drive to TTC lot, walk to TTC (unless trams are running that early), walk up to monorail platform, wait on monorail.... take monorail back to TTC, walk to tram waiting area, wait on tram, drive to BC, park car at BC, walk to room

versus

Scenario 2: Walk to BC bus stop, bus stops at MK....walk back to MK bus stop, walk from BC bus stop to room.

I don't really think that scenario 2 costs you more time than scenario 1.

We travel to WDW quite often, and being Floridians we always have a car. The only time the bus is an absolute sure thing is when we are travelling to MK. It always takes less total time.

That whole deal with parking, then trams, then the monorail/ferry is a pain. I will drive to other parks, but not to MK. From BC, it's really quicker and less trouble to take the bus.

ok, oh, ok....I will take the bus :)
Thanks for the input. :) 2 more days :) :)

js -- most definitely take the bus. It will be much faster than taking a car to mk. When you leave mk, either take the bus or take the monorail to epcot, then walk to bc. You will also want to walk to epcot, of course. I personally would not take your car to mgm either. The boat ride is nice, or you can walk in about 20 minutes. We stayed at the yc for 8 nights in May and did not move our car from the parking lot the entire time we were there. We would have used it if we had gone to downtown disney, but we saved that until after check-out.

We always park at TTC during EE. You get a great parking spot and won't have to take the tram. You take the resort monorail, which stops at all of the resorts if you're there before 8:00. At 8:00 the express monorail starts running. Just beware, you will not be able to get on the monorail unless you show the gate keeper your resort ID. This is also the method that guest use if they have breakfast ressies at one of the resorts. We personnally like using the rental car instead of the buses-- it's great to get back to your resort in 10 minutes or less.

I've heard the bus to MK from YC/BC is a pain! Anyone know for sure? Doesn't it make a lot of other stops?

The above poster is right about TTC - if you get there early you can just walk. The first few rows of parking are very close in.

n2mm (and others):
I have posted this ? before, but keep getting different answers. We have PS at Cindy's BF @ 7:50 on a Sat. We are NOT resort guests. The busses from our hotel don't run early enough. I thought we could drive to the TTC and take the resort monorail, as some have posted. But, will our PS confirmation # be enough, will they let us on even without resort ID? Please someone...HELP! My head is spinning! Thanks:confused:
