My group is considering the Safari Celebration Dinner as a grand gathering for our trip. Has anyone been that can tell me what it is like, whether it is worth 2 TS, and etc.? I have noticed it listed in the Dining Plan brochure. Do I simply book it by calling the dining reservation #?

Thanks

I was just looking at that too. There is a little more info if you go the the "Grand Gatherings" page on the disney sight. It sounds like some great events. We are planning a Grand Gathering for Sept '07. I'd like to hear about any of the other events too.

We did the Safari Dinner a couple of years ago. Really enjoyed it and the food was excellent. We had a boy who had food allergies and the chef prepared separate dishes for him yet similar to what we had. (Don't ask me what we had - all I remember was we all loved the food.)

When talking to the person who we made reservations with at Disney Dining, I tried to book this for our upcoming trip but it was full! It sounded wonderful. I think all ages would have loved it.

It's great to hear that. We're thinking of booking this dinner for our April trip and my DD has food allergies. I assumed Disney would be accomodating, but it's nice to hear it for sure.

Our Group will be doing this Sepember 3rd. I will have report and pics.

We are also doing the International Dinner/Illuminations Dessert Buffet that weekend.

We did most of the GG and this was hands down everyones favorite. The Safari was fabulous and you had alot of attention from your safari guide. The food was great and plentiful. They had characters, live entertainment and even brought animals for the kids to see up close and personal (for our group it was a large bird of prey and a tarantula). Definetly something I would love to do again.
