I was wondering about the decorations and festive touches at the various resorts. Can you tell me about them and which is your favorite?

we were just there this past December.

Here's what I can remember:

BWV - gingerbread house in the lobby, story time by the fireplace, Santa was there one day. Nice holiday decorations throughout the resort.

BCV - Gingerbread carousel in the lobby (of Beach Club). Again, decorations abound. Nice lights outside as well.

we visited Yacht Club - trains in the lobby

Grand Floridian - BIG gingerbread house in the lobby. Nice decorations all around.

We ran into some folks who were DVC members and they told us that the decorations were much less spectacular than in years past, so what we thought was nice might not be the norm.

I'll post more when I get home and look at some pix of my trip.

Not only at the WL, but the VWL has a gorgeous tree in it's lobby.

they are all so awesome. If you could spend all day just going from resort to resort, its worth it...my favorite but i might be prejudice is my home away from home BWV.

There is also a schedule of community singing, bell choirs, instrumental groups that preform. You get the list at the desk. At VWL we saw the bell choir, and at BWV there was a singing group/flutes on the Village Green area. I'm sure there were more performances, but those are the 2 we went to.

The Holidays are my absolute favorite time to visit. We always do an afternoon of hotel hopping to see all the decorations. One evening we had dinner at the Yacht Club and a CM dressed as the train conductor from Polar Express read the book and gave all the kids bells. We have seen Mrs. Santa and the big man himself at the BWV on a couple of occasions. We're going back on Nov. 27th and can't wait!
