Please tell me about MHT and DL in October

Hello..... we have never been to Mickey's Halloween Treat but we have been to MNSSHP..... I was wondering if anyone knows the differences between them and if someone could tell me about it. (Such as the activities, are there fireworks, how is the trick o treating, is it very crowded)

I was also wondering if someone could tell me about the crowds at DL at Halloween time, we will be there Oct 27-30th.

Also are there any other special things going on for the Halloween season???

Well here goes! We went last year, it was a lot of fun. It was a little crowded at first, but they definitely thinned out after the first 2-2.5 hours! Trick or Treating was fun, and I hear they are adding more treat stations this year. Lines to take pics with characters could get pretty long though! There are no fireworks since it's at DCA, I wish there was though.

They are adding a few new effects and decorations that weren't there last year, so it should be even better!! I hope!! It will be pretty busy, mostly because the public LOVED the Halloween season there last year, it was way busier than they anticipated, but not summer busy. Although it looks like you will be there for the weekend, so expect crowds.

There were lots of decorations and Woody's Halloween Roundup had cookie decorating and other fun stuff. It's really neat and it's one of our favortie times to go!!! Have fun!

Thanks for the info.... we are more DW people but we might not get to go on our planned December trip so I am looking into 2 small DL trips, one in October and then one in December... just do not know all that much about DL. We live over in Summerlin and cannot wait for summer to finally be over.

Me neither!!! It's so hot, I am so so ready for Fall!! Anyhow, we used to live over there, sold our house a few years ago but we were directly across the street from Palo Verde High School!!!

I think that's a great idea to do the two small trips!! DL is so much easier to navigate and so much more condensed, I think you will have a great time!!!

Cool!! I know you and I talked on here last year and just missed each other on a trip, may have been in October 2006, or those few days off we had in February this past year, those were great!!!

I so wanted to take advantage of the 5th, but I just can't and I am so bummed about it.

I am pretty close to you, I'm over by Warm Springs and Green Valley Pkwy!

Wow we are really close....... I was going to do NEV day but thought the other week would be less crowded. Ok so if you ever see a gold Sequioa with a Disney family and Jessica rabbit and tink stickers and LV plates youll know its me

Sweet!! Yes, I would have gone the Ocotber 5th weekend, but I thought that would be more crowded with it being Gay Days!!! I guess we're both in for it!

I totally freaked when I saw that gay days were that weekend I think it would be a blast , but the lines..........no way! So I am gonna pull the guys out of school an hour early Wed. just for the shock value ...remember this is a surprise. We will do DL Thurs and Fri until time to change for MHT. I can't wait!
