Can you DISers please suggest a decent Orlando Airport hotel that has an indoor or heated swimming pool? If they offer breakfast included in the room rate, that would be great!!!

The day before our cruise in May we stayed at the Hawthorn Suites on Augusta National Drive in Orlando. They had a complimentary shuttle bus from the airport and they were located about 10 minutes away. It's an all suite hotel, with an outdoor heated pool. In the morning, they serve a free hot buffet breakfast. I was very impressed with everything. Rates ran about $100 per night.

The Amerisuites has two hotels next to the airport. Both had heated, outdoor pools and breakfast is included in the room rate. All rooms are suites (either 1 king and sofa bed or 2 doubles and a sofa bed) and include a microwave, refridgerator, and separate sitting area. We really like this hotel chain. Lots of room for our family of 4.

We stayed at the Amerisuites Airport Northeast (other one is Airport Northwest) for $104 per night through the Entertainment Book discount before and after our cruise in February.

Both hotels are just across the expressway from the airport. They both have free shuttle service to and from the airport as well.

Hope this helps!

We stayed at the Sheraton. Free shuttle, no free breakfast, but a nice breakfast buffet for a fee. Don't know about the facilities, we arrived at midnight and left at 9 am.....so slept and ran.
There are about a dozen nice hotels just off the airport property on a big circle around a pond with a fountain. I suspect all offer good rates and free shuttles.

Embassy Suites is where we stayed...way under $100 a night (close to $75)...free cook to order hot breakfast (meaning you could special order what ever you wanted), free shuttle from airport....and free drinks durring the Managers receptions (Beer, mixed drinks, soda...) All the rooms were suites...oh and they had an outdoor pool...I'm not sure if it was heated...but the water was plenty warm....and we had the whole pool to our selfs.

We just booked at the Ramada 3 miles from MCO (hey, we arrive at near 1am!). It has a shuttle and free hot breakfast. Apparently they also offer a cocktail evening get together, but at 1am I am only interested in that bed. Cost for 4 of us was $55.20 + tax (about $67 total), and the reviews that I found on the place were extremely favorable.

We also stayed at The Ramada the night before the cruise and were very happy with it! We got in around 11:30 and the shuttle was there within 15 minutes to pick us up. I had a very bad experience with Hawthorn Suites this past October. We spent a weekend at Universal and booked one night at Hawthorn because our flight got in so late.....I called a couple days before and told them we would be arriving late. We got there and the motel was overbooked so they sent us to a different motel. When we walked into the room of the motel...there were roaches scurrying around on the bed. The clerk at the motel we ended up at told us Hawthorn has a problem with overbooking and they are constantly getting the overflow.

I know bugs are a part of life in Florida, but Yuck! The Hawthorn has 4 suite locations in Orlando, was it another Hawthorn that you were sent to?

Unfortunately we were not sent to another Hawthorn! We were sent to a Comfort Suites. We had to move rooms twice..once for the bugs and then the next room they put us in didn't have any working lights! :sad2: I think the thing that bothered me the most was that the woman at Hawthorn I dealt with was very rude. When I got home, I contacted their corporate office to make a complaint...but they didn't care a whole lot either! Lesson learned! :)

Experienced major problems with Clarion Airport McCoy rd. in October. They were overbooked, only had one of 2 rooms I reserved, aand it was filthy and foul smelling with kid's shoes on the floor. Did not stay there and it took me 2 1/2 months and countless calls and letters to get my credit card refunded.

We sated at the Wingate this past November, we got it off priceline. I was very pleased with it. I do not know if it had a heated pool however, but there was a complimentary shuttle to the airport as well as continental breakfast in the am that included Waffles...

We stayed at Wingate but booked through Priceline for $35. They had free breakfast and I believe a pool but on Priceline you can choose which options you need like a pool, airport shuttle, etc. I wouldn't usually use this service but we just needed a bed for the night before our cruise.

Anyway, the Wingate was clean and the breakfast excellent. Good luck!

Stay at a value hotel on Disney Property. Value is only 109.00 and less in the fall.
Then you get to see fireworks and go shopping in downtown disney.
Then take the transport to a Disney Cruise hotel property like swan, or any of the hotel on the list and they will pick you up there..
