After doing my homework, I've decided to go Poly first week of Aug '03. The Fairy Tale Package is great, now comes the time to book. Should I go through CRO or a good travel agent? I've heard travel agents help w/ other ammenities such as restaurants etc.....any help will be greatly appreciated, as usual..Alan :smooth:

My AAA agent wasn't too bad either. To be honest, if you like to handle details on your own, book everything yourself. I will next time.

You can call Disney and book it yourself. Same with your dining arrangements. I think it's a lot easier. www.wdwig.com has all of the menus on her site. When you book through a TA, you have to depend on them to make any changes.

There seems to be plethora of information available to book a Disney trip on your own (not you per say, just generally speaking). This group of Disney Gurus has been the best source of info I can find.

That being said.. if you truly want to work with a travel agent I have been a customer of Liberty Travel since I was 18. Often we plan on our own but they often help us with international travel or when we travel with large groups. I do believe they are national but I know for sure they are in the tri-state area.

They do have a website - www.libertytravel.com

The travel services AAA offers have never impressed me however I am basing that opinion on one planned trip with them. Very average service and all the AAA discounts are attainable by simply presenting your AAA member card on your own.

If you work for a large company often they have a corporate travel agent that can service the employees for personal vacations, check with your HR dept.

Recommendations carry a lot of weight with me, ask your family and friends!

Another vote for DU.
I have used Dagny for 4 trips now. She's very prompt and honest.

I love Laura ar Our Laughing Place travel, I am planning a split stay trip in November, and she has ben wonderful. she also has lots of information about WDW , and can help with resort choices and dining. Have a great trip!!

http://www.ourlaughingplace.com , this is the website .

Never really needed one before because we drive there and are dvc members. For new year's trip we decided to try Swan and went through Jean at yourmagicaljourneys.com and she was wonderful. They are all disney experts and she got us a great rate..so good we upgraded to concierge level. I highly recommend that agency. They seem to know disney very well(unlike my AAA agency!)
Connears

This is just my opinion. But DH and I have used a travel agent for the past two years and have gotten excellent service. We use mouseearvacations and our travel agent name is Vickie. I highly recommend the company as well as the TA ;)

:D Dreams Unlimited without a doubt! I hated to give up the control of planning our Disney vacation myself, but have used DU twice and wouldn't go back to doing it myself AT ALL! Beth at DU has to be the most patient person on the face of the earth! I recommend DU to my friends all the time. You won't be disappointed!

:D :D :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :) :)
