So I'm new to the DIS Boards :disrocks: and wanted to start my Pre-Trip Report post here. Having never done this before please be kind. I'm still a Newbie. This will be our 3rd trip to visit the World. DH and I have been 2 times before: For our Disneymoon in 2000, stayed at the Polynesian, the second time in 2003 staying at the Grand Floridian. We are so jazzed to be visiting again after a hiatus of over 6 years now! :stitch:

First off, the Cast includes Me:tinker: and my DH :smickey:

:surfweb: I am a 38 year old SAHM without the "Mom" title. I work out of my home as a Costume Designer for Musical Theatre and have started my own Costume Rental business. Which is helping us to take more vacations! :wizard: Plus also we had a string of good luck pass our way in the form of some rather nifty IPhone applications placed up on the Apple IPhone store that were a runaway hit.

IPHONE KOI POND:

http://www.apple.com/iphone/top-apps/

Click on the left hand box under Entertainment and scroll down to Koi Pond. We were number one for over 3 months this summer!

At .99 cents its a steal! Plus its a totally Zen application, got great reviews too.

Luckily for us we hope to continue to be as lucky to afford more trips to the World. Living in So Cal we are also blessed to have Disneyland in our backyard and being Annual Passholders to Disney Heaven we are fortunate to get our Disney Fix monthly or so.

So when DH came to me and said that we were financially in the red for the first time in years, he asked, "Why don't we go to Walt Disney World again this winter?" very casually, I almost hit the floor. :rotfl2:

Now DH is a computer programmer and doesn't make these suggestions lightly.

"Uhmmm.....yesssssss." Said I.

"Well, let's go then." Says He.

So we went out and did it in Nov. Today I'm picking up the Travel Package from Carefree Travel in our local San Diego area. Our travel agent was friendly and all, but she was curious as to why two 30 year olds wanted to visit WDW without kids. WITHOUT KIDS! Like we should visit Paris or Rome or something. Who needs culture when you've got the Mouse down in Florida? :earboy2: Besides we are 2 freaks who love Disney. Nerds to the core, what can I say?

So it's two weeks before we get on the plane to "Our Place." :mickeyjum

I'm counting down the days frantically. It seems like forever. Rest assured that we have our cameras fully loaded up and refreshed and this trip we are going to use them religiously. :woohoo:

More to come as I can type it up. Hope this is a good start.

It's now only 11 days until we take off from San Diego to Orlando FL. :cool1: Still counting down the days until we start the Magic. I did place some ADR yesterday and that went well, better than I expected.

I also have the plan ready for touring the World. I'm such a stickler for planning and having schedules. :thumbsup2

Day 1 - Sunday
*Arrival
*Check in at the Polynesian
*Dinner at O'hana
*Early turn in time

Day 2 - Magic Kingdom/Monday
*Up at the crack of dawn
*Breakfast at Kona Cafa
*Monorail to the MK for the Rope Drop
*Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern
*Touring the Park for the rest of the day
*Dinner-up in the air, we will wing it and see what happens

Day 3 - Epcot Center/Tuesday
*Up at the crack of dawn again...."yawn"
*Breakfast again at Kona
*Entry into Epcot
*Lunch at the Rose and Crown Pub
*Touring the Park for the rest of the day
*Dinner again not scheduled...we will be adventurous

Day 4 - Disney Hollywood Studios/Wednesday
*Up at dawn
*Breakfast maybe or perhaps, we'll see how stuffed we are by then! :rotfl2:
*Entry into DHS
*Lunch at Sci-Fi Diner (OMG we cannot wait for this one! DH is an old movie buff and Twilight Zone is his favorite! We can't wait to watch the old 50's alien flicks up onscreen in our "Car!")
*Dinner...who knows

Day 5 - Animal Kingdom/Thursday

*Up at dawn yet again
*Breakfast at Kona maybe again (I sincererly hope that we can have BF some other places instead of Kona all the time, but once DH likes something he can eat the same thing over and over again, he loves familiarity :lmao: )
*Entry into AK
*Lunch at the Yak and Yeti
*Touring the Park until late afternoon
*Back to the hotel to rest up

Day 6 - Another day at the Parks, up for grabs, or a trip to Downtown Disney/Friday
*Up at dawn or sleep in
*Lunch, anywhere, possible in DD
*Shopping, rest at the hotel pool, wandering the various hotels (we in particular want to see Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Contemporary for future possible visits)
*Touring one of the parks later that day

Day 7 - Another "Free Day" with no plans/Saturday

*Up at dawn
*Same as Friday with Park-Hopping galore, probably will revisit MK for a while or use our SeaRaycers vouchers
*Nighttime viewing of the Fireworks and the Water Pageant

Day 8 - Leaving :sad2: - Sunday
*Back to SD, CA
*Plan our NEXT TRIP! :cheer2:

I'm hoping to have a great trip this time around. I have a special surprise for DH when we arrive from the Disney Florist and I hope all goes well and they deliver the surprise on time. More updates coming soon. Thanks to all of you who are reading this thread.

4 MORE DAYS!:cheer2:

Doing laundry and packing too. Ugh. What to take, what to take? :laundy:

Next week: Highs in the upper 60's, lows in the mid to upper 30's. :yay: Will I be able to still swim or is the pool closed for the Winter?

Getting ready, and it's only a few days away. I just gotta hang on for now and count the hours!

AT THE 4 MORE DAYS MARK ITS HARD TO STAY CALM!

We went clothes shopping last night. DH had to get some new Flip Flops and some lighter shirts. I have enough clothes already, plus I didn't want to get anything too heavy, as I'm hoping for some sunshine next week. :beach: Got a new bathing suit for the pool if and when I get in. I would love to do some night swimming in the Poly's Volcano pool. Have heard and read so much about it, I gotta swim around in there and watch the Volcano "explode."

The suitcases are filling up. Travel arragements have been picked up and now all we need to do is sit on our hands and count down. :rotfl: :cool1: We plan to get in late to the Poly, check in and have dinner at O'hana. I can taste that Bread Pudding with Bananas Foster right now!

DH is way more blase about the whole business than I am. Litterally I am just jazzed and so EXCEITED! :woohoo: I've been working on my projects night and day so I NEED this break from work. A whole week at the World to relax and just eat and ride attractions and watch shows. What bliss! Does anyone else get this way days before you are set to go. Wondering what the weather will be like, how the plane or car ride will be like, wandering around MCO trying to find the DME line? I do hope we get the ME bus instead of the Meares ones. I want to watch the video. :cool2:

Tomorrow is another day to pack and try to finish up the last part of my project and get stuff ready for the next phase of the costuming. I got the contracts all signed and work will really start into the homestreach when I get back. I ran today on the treadmill for 25 mins straight, walking to recover and then doing 4 all out sprints. I've been walking on the treadmill at home to gather my stamina for the theme parks and all the walking we will have to do. I have to loose about 30 pounds, (I don't know how I am going to do that with all the wonderful FOOD options at the World!!! :rotfl2: )
I'm going to try to stick with my diet but I know for sure that my plans will fly out the window on the first night! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

More to come later on today. And I'll have photos I promise!
