On a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being the best, what's your opinion of the show.

We need to take afternoon breaks and I'm having a hard time deciding whether to return for this show or not. I'm thinking about the 30 to 45 minute commute each way. We have two scooters to drag along.

None of us have seen the show; so, this is drawing me into going for the one time.

If the park was open later; so, we could enjoy some rides and such then I wouldn't mind the commute.

I'm probably the only die hard that wants to see everything.

It was very pretty, and we enjoyed the music, but after seeing it once, we don't feel the need to see it again - and while we would see it again, we wouldn't go out of our way to do so. We think it's worth seeing once, for sure, especially if you can snag a FP for it or don't have to wait an exceptionally long time.

For reference, we love Illuminations and Hallowishes.

My family (Me, DW, DS 9 and DS 12) really enjoyed it. My 9 year old is an animal lover. So he really enjoyed the visual effects. The way they use the water and projections almost give a hologram type of effect. I've heard people say that it lacks story and substanance. Maybe that's true or maybe the story is just hard to get. But if you are sitting there saying "what is going on here?" I really think you are trying too hard.

The visual effects are cool. Everyone from my cynic wife to my too cool for school 12 year old liked it a lot. I think it's a must do, especially if you haven't seen it.

6 or a 7 seen it 2. You can youtube it and see if it is something you would like to see.

It is a quiet lights, music and water show (you don't get wet). Nothing spectacular, but appropriate for the park. I rated it a 7, and like others have said, once is enough.

I went with DD8 the first week of July. We had the dining package. I'd say probably 5-6. I don't think I'd go again. DH and the other two kids didn't go and I doubt if I'd make a point to take them in December. DD8 that went kept asking when it would be over. The projections were not as sharp as I thought they should be (then again they are projecting on water ... ) and I found it hard to follow the music / story.

why not sleep in and then go to AK in the after noon and just stay for ROL this why you are not going out 2x and you can have the morning to rest

I would do your FP starting around 1 or 2 ( and if you are trying to do FOP it is really hard to get one before 3pm any ways.

I thought the show was pretty, but not worth seeing again. I'll give it a 6.

As @jkh36619 mentioned, you can walk on Expedition Everest. It's kind of fun to see a view of the show from the ride itself.

Even in the summer, RoL wasn't particularly full. Most people were probably still crowding into Pandora.

I'd go with a 7+. Yes, it's not as "exciting" as most typical Disney night shows (fireworks, and loud music), but I found it quite relaxing (after a long, hot day) and pretty.

I like it better than Fantasmic, but not as much as Illuminations

Well, DH and I thought it was blah. I feel bad rating it, but I guess I'd give it a 4 or 5. However, my two girls (both age 14) loved it! They loved the water/lights/visual effects. I guess for me, I like to look for a meaning behind a show and I couldn't easily figure this one out.

For your case, OP, I'm not sure if I'd make a huge effort just to see the show. But if you can work it into your plans without much effort, then I'd recommend seeing it. I personally like to see all shows at least once.

I give it a 6, I have seen it twice, and I would be "willing" to see it again. I WANT to like it more, but some parts I really do not get. I had see Jungle Book, and enjoyed that more.

The second time I saw RoL I was with a friend who though it was the best! He and his wife would have been more generous in rating, I'll bet 9 and 10.
