Trying to find one for an upcoming trip and my mind is going into over-drive reading all the choices online.

We're just going for one night, don't really have a preference for where it is (will be in Pigeon Forge one day, Gatlinburg the next), but can't do a cabin because they all require a min. of two nights. Clean/cheap/free breakfast is a big plus.

thanks!

We have stayed at the Rocky Waters in Gatlinburg (back building) many times, including May 2009. It is always clean and they have a continental breakfast (Krispe Kream donuts, a couple cereals, bagels, cream cheese). The breakfast isn't much but it will do. The rooms all have balconies that overlook the little river and it's very peaceful. We stayed at the Maple (or Maples) Motel last year in Pigeon Forge and it was clean as well. Neither one is anything fancy.

We stay at Econo Lodge Riverside in Pigeon Forge. It is on the right as you enter Pigeon Forge from Seveirville. Prices are reasonable, it has an indoor pool and a good breakfast. I think breakfast was cereal, toast, bagels, donuts, milk, coffee, tea, and juice. We like this one a lot!

Rocky Waters looked great location-wise, but required a two night stay.

Off to try the others!

thanks!

Best place we ever stayed down there is Inn at Christmas Place.Includes big hot breakfast with meat/omelets made to order, etc.Pricy, but if you have kids it is worth it,especially considering that you get a really good breakfast, nice pool, see Santa on certain days, etc. We used AAA and it was 11 off rate.Econo Lodge Riverside,Cold Creek Resort,River View Inn in Sevierville(if you want a jacuzzi/king for a couple cheap..regular rooms are just soso there),Country Inn and Suites,NormaDan Motel, are all good choices w/doughnuts or continental breakfast.gatlinburg is usually pricier than PF.;)

We needed a motel for one night before our week in a cabin last summer. We had our 4 year old grandkids and wanted clean and cheap and tried the Rodeway Inn in Pigeon Forge. Room was fine, nothing fancy, but clean. The kids LOVED the poolslide. We could hardly get them out to go to our cabin the next day! There is a free pancake breakfast, but if I remember correctly, it was just pancakes, we had to pay for drinks. It was fine, but not to be a deciding factor in choosing a motel.

Our cabins are always closer to Gatlinburg, so we enjoyed spending the time in Pigeon Forge. Rodeway Inn is close enough to walk to some shops.

We love our trips to that area almost as much as WDW!

Enjoy!

Music Road Inn is the best. It has a water slide and diving board at the pools and the hotel is spotless.

We've always stayed here http://www.comfortinnpigeonforge.com/

I don't know if they have it this year but when we've stayed before you could even make fresh waffles for breakfast!

Always clean too!

Have a great trip!!

You might try to call back at a different time of day/night because sometimes you get hold of someone who will work with you and sometimes you get a lady who won't. There's an older lady who is very helpful and a younger one who is not. :)

My mom and sister go to Pigeon forge a lot. They stay at the River Bend Inn hotel. Mom says its always been clean and the rates are great.

There's even a calendar showing you rates. She said the breakfast wasn't that great the last time she went but they only paid $39 for that night's stay.
Definitely check them out.

Another vote for the Christmas Hotel. My kids did not like the new waterpark hotel in Sierville. They said it paled in comparison to the Kalahari or Great Wolf Lodge.

That's funny you mentioned that! We're going down to go to that waterpark. We got free tickets for the waterpark only (given as a promotion when they opened), but to spend the night their it's an about $200 a night. So we're looking for a place to stay after we stay at the park all day.

My DS's are young, and haven't been to any other waterpark, so hopefully they'll enjoy it.

We have stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Pigeon Forge on our past two trips, and already have our reservation made for April. A nice clean hotel. Friendly staff, very nice indoor poor, and decent free continental breakfast. Its also close to everything! The rates are very, very, reasonable. Take a look at their site. If you have any questions feel free to pm me!

We have stayed at the Comfort Inn in Pigeon Forge, and it was a nice hotel. It has an indoor pool too, if I remember right. In Gatlinburg we have stayed at the Best Western Twin Islands many times. It is very close to the main shopping area, and has a ton of creek view rooms. Only an outdoor pool though.

It doesn't have a continental breakfast but we always stay at Sidney James in Gatlinburg. It has an indoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. As well as you can get jacuzzi/fireplace rooms and it has exercise facilities. And of coarse there is the outdoor pool too. They also have creekside rooms. There is a restaurant there but you have to purchase your meals.

We have stayed there numerous times, actually just got back from there yesterday, and have never had any complaints with it

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort a block off the main street in the center of Gatlinburg. It has indoor and outdoor pools, condo type accomodations as well as traditional hotel rooms, and is affordable. We walked right down the hill to the middle of downtown Gatlinburg every morning. I'd definitely stay there again.
