Hello all. We are doing a short weekend trip the first weekend of november. The resort we wanted was taken so we are to do CSR. I am wondering if we will get to use the slide as we won't arrive till 7 that evening, but I know my kids will want to. Anyone know and can anyone give me feedback on this resort? My real question though is about should I pay to add park hoppers since we are only doing Saturday in the park? We want it to be fun and relaxing so I wonder but we have never done animal kingdom and I hear children my kid's age love it. They are 5 and 2. My thinking if we add it is to do AK during the day then use our own car and drive to MK about 5ish. Grab dinner at The plaza and ride some rides, then watch the electrical parade, fireworks and try to do a few rides after the fireworks. EMH are till 1 am but I know leaving sunday that will be pushing it but we can prob make it to 11 or 1130.....would we be too rushed? Has this worked for anyone? We just want to have an enjoyable time. Our goal is to enjoy our place friday night and get ready for our big day saturday, then Sat have as much fun as possible (but of course we can't skip MK) and we want to take everything in, and Sun we are doing 'Ohana breakfast and BBB and looking around DTD before leaving and heading home. We are wanting to leave about 1 sunday afternoon b/c we have about a 7 hour drive home. we want this to be fun even though it's so short b/c we may not get to come back till '13 and our stay with our children has never been AMAZING and we are usually rushed....please help me out. :woohoo: Thank you so very much!!

I don't think you can get a hopper for one day.

there is no one day park hopper. If you want a "relaxing" visit - for one day...I think you need to pick one park and stick to it.

buy a one day park hopper. The park hopper option is $35 for an adults and children. It's not worth it going through an affiliated discounter. They can't make any money on tickets for those few days.

There are a few items at DAK that could entertain your kids. The safari should be entertaining and the Festival of the Lion King will catch their attention. There are a couple of cheesy rides in Dinoland they might like. You could probably be done by noon if it's a normal 9:00 AM opening time.

One thing to keep in mind is that Fantasyland lines will become progressively longer as the day goes on. At rope drop the lines for Dumbo and Peter Pan will be really short. Peter Pan can be over an hour wait by early afternoon but fastpasses should still be available for later that afternoon.

We've taken both our kids when they were three and we always had to always plan for a mid day nap for them to be functioning in the evening. Not all kids are the same.

One last point, it's almost always better to take Disney transportation to the MK. If you decide to go to DAK first I would look at dropping your car off at CSR which is on your way.

1. The first weekend of November tends to be less crowded than normal.

2. The Hopper option on a one-day ticket is $35 plus tax instead of the regular $55, so it would be $127.80 (including tax) for each adult and $121.41 for the five-year-old. The 2yo is free.

3. Normally the Resort pools are open until 11:00pm.

4. On Saturday Nov 5 AK is open 9:00 to 6:00 and MK, with EEMH, is from 9:00 to 1:00am.

I would probably stick with one park as well, even though I love having park hoppers. That way you can do all of the important suff early in the day and take the afternoon and evening slower with the little ones. We have found that the key to an enjoyable time with kids that young is to plan but not try to fit everything in.
For that kind of money for the park hoppers, you might be able to sqeeze in another weekend in 2012.

sometimes the water slides are closed early. I would call to ask if it will be open.
