According to I think WFTV, there is supposed to be a press conference today at 2pm.

The thing I'm curious about it is if the meter reader told police when he found the bag last week that he also called in tips in August. I will find it VERY strange if he didn't and the police found that out while checking him out.

Everyone is talking about the gray bag and the black bag, but a reporter on FOX last night said there were alot of bags and trash in those woods, so maybe the meter reader originally led the police to another bag...I just cannot believe he led them to the black bag with duct tape around it and the officer just totally blew it off.

So it seems that in Aug the meter reader/utility guy called in about a suspicious bag and left the scene. An officer arrived and then left because no one was there to show him where the bag was.
There were other reports about a foul smell in that area around the same time.
The hurricane hit a few days later, flooding the area right before a planned search.


All seems logical to me but I can see the defense having a field day with it.

Announcement Expected Today Regarding Found Remains

The FBI is expected to announce the identification of the remains some time on Friday at 2 p.m. In addition, the Orange County government is expected to hold a news conference at 3:30 p.m. with the meter reader that discovered the remains to address questions about his involvement.

I just read that the meter reader was not the only person to call and ask the police to look in that area. A group of kids reported a smell and even this:
The meter reader is not the only one, or the first, to have pointed police toward the site containing the remains.

KioMarie Cruz, Casey Anthony's childhood friend, also told police to investigate the same wooded area near Hidden Oaks Elementary School a month before the meter reader, according to CNN affiliate WFTV.

In an interview with detectives, according to WFTV, Cruz said that she and Anthony "pretty much used to hang out there most of our time," would "snack on food for hours" and went there to "get away from our parents."


Police have tried to cover themselves by saying that they couldn't search then because of water but the water wasn't there until 2 mos after Kiomarie told them about it.

There's also some question that the deputy who took the call refused to let the meter reader go with him to see the bag because of a snake AND the deputy might in fact have been one of Casey Anthony's friends, Tony R.

As like all the other press conferances, the local news stations that have been linked here repeatedly throughout the thread will be carrying them line online too for the rest of the world.

Also, cable news stations like CNN & FOX don't ever miss stuff like this. lol They'll break right in so everyone can watch.

I'm starting to think that LE couldn't have imagined that Casey would've dumped the body so close to home so they just didn't take any of those tips seriously. That's just too bad and it breaks my heart that she could have been found and identified sooner.

i've been reading through a lot of the evidence over the last few days. Casey is seriously deranged. And it's just so weird to me, because i'm 22 too...i just can't even imagine having something like this going on in my life.
