anyone remember a few years back: "Elian"? Everywhere I looked, there was some kind of news "byte". I've gone over to David Lohr's website and the photos of people, news vans, etc. is just pathetic. The grandparents come outside: it's news. A car pulls up: it's news. The pizza guy drives by: it's news. You see where I am going with this. It all comes down to a little girl who is gone and all I can see is the mother and the grandparents "lawyering up". It's only a matter of time before the brother does...
I am hoping at this point it is merely a matter of time before the authorities have everything they need to close the loop. I imagine there is quite a bit of pressure on the DA to have everything they need so there is no loophole in the future for a mistrial. It seems there is quite a bit of wasted effort in exhaustive searches; and that is indeed, debatable. It will all come out in the wash and people eat this stuff up: a mother who for all outward appearances conjures up stories that just don't mesh and where is her daughter? Her actions clearly indicate that she is so self-absorbed and her parents are covering their bases. If it was my child, I would be in the swamps, out at all hours, searching, up for days on end: moving to the point of exhaustion, going beyond delirious, and being hysterical. When I see photos of Casey clubbing and high fiving her brother it all just becomes so apparent...
