A little off topic but I am SHOCKED AND APPALLED that the Grandma is YOUNGER than me!! :lmao: I was hoping I wouldn't look that bad in at LEAST 10 more years! :scared:

Her MySpace page says she's 50 and I'm 52. She looks older than my 65 year old sister!!!

Maybe it's the stress of all that lying.... :confused3

That's a little rude. :confused3

I'm also 52. And in all fairness if my granddaughter was missing I'm sure I would look more like I was 90 with all the worry and stress I would have on me.

I'm 42 and feel like I'd look 90....but I do believe that Grandma knows exactly where Caylee is. :sad1:

I think Grandma and Mom know exactly where Caylee is. I am not sure Grandma knew at the beginning, but I think she knows now. Grandma wants her 15 minutes of fame and Mom behaves like she is a teenager who has absolutely no understanding of the consequences of her behavior.

Ladies - this is not a Lifetime movie or Thriller novel - this is real life. You are playing with fire. Poor Caylee.

I believe the report said "fellow inmate".

I was quoting a PP that said "guy". I haven't read the actual news report.

I hate to say it but IF Casey did actually kill Caylee then she is playing it pretty smart to not fess up - I think she is playing dumb and knows exactly what she is doing by not saying a word. She's much smarter and more calculating than anyone is giving her credit for... :sad2:

The longer it takes to find Caylee (or her remains) the less evidence against Casey there will be.

I'm not sure how she would "now" know where Caylee is. All the taped conversations have been released from the jail so I don't know when she would've been given the opportunity to get such information without it being taped.

I'm a little sad that everyone is prosecuting the Grandmother in this case. She's wacky, but probably because her grandaughter is missing and her daughter is a liar and in jail.

I think MickeyBoat means that she doesn't think the grandmother was in on it (the murder, selling or whatever has happened to that baby), but was told by the daughter before she was put into jail. Thats what I believe as well. :sad2:

Did you read the transcript of the 911 call (I think it was the first) where the Grandmother called the police? It wasn't to report her granddaughter missing, it was to report that Casey had stolen her car and some money.

It seems to me that initially the Grandmother only wanted to get Caylee back - even if it meant turning her daughter in for whatever she could. Now she seems bent on protecting Casey. I think they only reason she would do that is because she knows that Caylee is either safe or already dead.

I too believe this is a possibility. I think it is very possible that Cindy is trying to protect Casey out of fear of losing her. I think it's possible she now knows Caylee is dead and will not be found and wants Casey to be exonerated (even if she secretly believes her to be guilty) OR Cindy knows Casey is "somewhere" and that Casey is doing the "right thing" by not cooperating with police in order to protect the baby, herself or something along those lines. Freaked out or not, what it comes down to is that as the GRandma of this precious child (and I do belive Cindy truly loves this child) she should spare no expense in the search for information about what happened to her. I don't think attacking Casey would be the right move but she certainly shouldn't be defending Casey's actions like she has been.

I think it's never a good thing to persecute people when you aren't really sure of any wrongdoing on their part but these people are hindering the investigation and search for this child by lying and that in itself is a horrible thing and worthy of persecution in my mind.

Have they brought cadaver dogs around the car?

Yes they did. At 2 different times, 2 different cadaver dogs hit on the trunk of the car.

Now, the grandmother explains that away by saying that there was a rotten pizza in the trunk that was covered with maggots.

My question is (and this is grotesque, and I apologize): Are cadaver dogs only trained to hit on human remains, or are they trained to hit on maggots as well (which usually lead to something dead)?

Gross, I know, and I apologize, but I am curious about that.

They are trained to smell human death and decomp. Possibly animal remains, but not rotting pizza, there is a huge smell difference. These dogs make no mistakes.

Fair enough, but I have a hard time believing that cadaver dogs are not trained to 'alert' to maggots (which are, unfortunately, usually a clue to a death of some kind - animal or human).

So they declined lowering Caseys bond. sorry if this has already been posted... I am so intrigued by this I read the Orlando Sentinel online now. Just this storyline though.

I just cant wrap my brain around this one. I get that Cindy wants to protect Casey, but is letting her get out of jail for any amount of money a good idea? She wants to get out to look for her daughter? She didnt do that before she went to jail. How can they even ask a judge for this. This is why she is in jail! I would think she would be a flight risk anyway.

Nancy Grace (is that the right name) had on a dog & trainer the other night and the dog hit a spot where the trainer had placed a part of a sheet with human remains on it. This sheet was placed in a container in a plastic bag and the dog could smell the remains thru all of that. I believe she said the dog is trained to pick up post mortum smells.
