:confused3 we would like to know if anyone has taken a 16 month old on a Disney Cruise? was it a good experience or would recommend waiting until he is a little older? we can't decide between just going to wdw or a cruise... PLEASE HELP!!!!! :chat:

I just got back with a 23 month old and I would say wait. There were two bigg disadvantages. Firstly, and probably most importantly they are not allowed in the pools until they are toilet trained. Try explaining to a child that age why they can not go in and have fun.

Secondly, child care is very limited. You can bring them to flounders nursery but the amount of time you are given is limited to three times and you have to pay. Whereas after three they can go to the Oceaneers Club anytime they want.

If your 16-month old is anything like our DD was at 16 mos, I'd definitely say WAIT! (LOL!)

She was an active toddler, (climber, toucher, runner, all those other words with 'er') which kept me worn-out at home. I cringe to think what it would have been like on a cruise.

Please don't anyone flame me on that. I'm ROFLMAO :rotfl: thinking of what my situation would have been, and hope I can help sway anyone who might have doubts about taking a cruise with a young child just right now. :rotfl2:
