Please keep your arms, legs and antlers in the vehicle at all times. *2 UPDATES! 1/16

I don't mind designing some if people tell me what they want. Then everyone would be in charge of making their own or we can have an ironing party in our room! I already have the "What happens in Disney" shirt. I love that one.

We could do an early lunch or late breakfast on Friday and then have a late lunch or early dinner at a monorail resort - both Poly and GF sound good! Good way to get a meal and check out a resort at the same time. There will be plenty of cookies at MK in the evening if we need more food!

Or, we could do an early breakfast at AK (before park opening) and then something else later.

AK before the park opens would be awesome as I have never, ever seen that park empty! But, I agree...that would make for a very long day. Someone might have to wake me up from snoring on the TTA or something that night!

I'm thinking a quick bkfast at Pop that morning and then Jambo - off to the AK! Sing it with me... “Ma, Sa panya, ma ma ma meesa ma ma ..”

I love the idea of an early dinner at the Poly or GF! GF Cafe, Kona, O'hana, any of those would be good!

Hello everyone! :wave2: Kim has finally bugged me enough to join you all on the thread so I can give my own answers to the questions of the day. I CAN'T WAIT TILL WE ALL GO ON THIS TRIP!!!! Hey Monica......is my best friend Hunter coming on this trip????:dancer:

Hi Missa! I've heard a lot about you! Looking forward to meeting you in December! :goodvibes

THURSDAY POSSIBILITIES:

-Arrival
-DTD shopping=I think this works better than shopping Sunday because most of us will already be packed on Sunday.
-Maybe a snack at Ghiradellis?
-Dinner at Cap N Jacks, Earl of Sandwich, or go to AKL to eat a late dinner at Boma
-Hang out at Pop, grab a drink at the bar

What do ya think?

Looks awesome! Capt Jack's is sit down, right? On allears it's listed as CS. :confused3 Earl of Sandwich sounds good too. I forgot already, was it No to Ragland Road and No to Fulton's? I'm fine with anything as I haven't eaten anywhere in DTD and therefore have no preconceived notions!

I think we definately need a girls weekend shirt - either the crazy princesses or the speak/hear/see no evil one. Both are great! I think we should wear something Christmassy (is that a word?) for the party but we don't have to all match if we don't want to. Might be a pain to make so many shirts? I can always get t-shirts here in Florida any time of year if someone has trouble finding them.

Definitely something for Christmas! Maybe the same color, but pick your own design? :confused3

Have I mentioned that Shawn is excited that I'm not bugging him anymore about our "next" trip, since I have this trip to think about now! ;) Glad I could help you out, hon' :rolleyes1

I want shirts!! I love the "girls gone wild" shirt, so I really hope we can wear that one. I would like a Christmas shrit too since I dropped the ball on making shirts for last year :rolleyes1
Hey at least I still have the transfer paper.

Missa and I will for sure be in on Thursday and will be staying at least through Monday (hopefully longer) Sara, if you are going to be around all day Sunday, maybe we can go back to MK together? I know TGM says Sundays are not a good day at MK, but I can assure you I have NEVER waited more then 15 minutes in a line since at least 1998. I have family and friends that can back that up for me :lmao: :rotfl2:

 :goodvibes That would be fine with me Kimmy! :goodvibes

Actually, we went to the MK on our first day of our Thanksgiving trip, which was a Sunday, and it was one of his top choices for the morning.

That's what I love about his stuff - he doesn't just generalize the days based on the year and historical information. Since Disney has changed their EMH days to now vary month to month - it's impossible to generalize. So that's why he does his ratings within the month, after Disney posts their park hours. That's what gives him an edge in my book. Sunday isn't always good to go, but it isn't always bad either! Love those LCCs! :yay:

Fulton's and Raglan Road are out for me, but I don't want to hinder everyone else from going. Cap N Jacks is table service, I didn't notice that on allears yesterday. I spent 2 hours reading menus!:rotfl:

O'Hana's doesn't have lunch and I think dinner doesn't start until 5:00, which would be cutting it close. Kona and GF cafe does have lunch. We'll need to go somewhere where we can make 4:00 ADRs, or make 2:30 ADRs for yak n yeti or Tusker house. What is everyone's preference?

Sara, I think you're onto something. Make the hubbies think that we are doing THEM a favor by taking this trip!:thumbsup2

My preference is Kona or GF cafe.

My votes would be Capt. Jacks for DTD and Kona for an early dinner on Friday.

But I'm fine with whatever the majority want. It's all good, baby! :goodvibes

Morning guys.

Yes, I want shirts. But I'm crafticapped, remember. I do not own an iron, I do not know how to use an iron. But I can shop. I can bring a blank t-shirt or two. That sounds like a marvelous idea. And I can do my own ironing there if someone shows me how to run that complicated piece of equipment. Of course, this is assuming that Monica is doing the designing because in addition to be unable to run equipment, I have no creativity either. I've decided that the only true talent I have is eating.

Missa, welcome aboard. I hear we share the same excellent taste in figment hats.

I have eaten at the GF cafe when we stay at the GF. It's nice. Nothing adventurous or out of the ordinary. Funny, it's one of the longest waits we've had for a table (yes, with an ADR)--we've always went straight up lunch time which is probably why.

GF also has that afternoon tea with the little sandwiches and goodies. I've never tried that because Mo says it sounds too girly for him. It gets excellent reviews on the disboards.

Monica, your Thursday plan sounds good. Any plan that includes a stop for chocolate will 100% meet with my approval.

Breakfast at AK before park opening? Yowzers. With my 3 hour time change, what time will that be for me? Getting up at 4:00 am, maybe earlier? I might have to start drinking coffee. And I'll definitely be wearing a hat because I'm not getting up even earlier to fix the Don King do.

I had an idea! Since we're spending the whole day at Epcot on Saturday, why don't we have a 9:00 or so breadfast at Kona for some yummy Tonga Toast?! Then we can do our late lunch at GF cafe on Friday. We'll have to check to see how late they serve lunch.

My vote for Thurs would be to leave DTD and eat at Boma.

Pakey, I'll design your shirt and I'll even iron it on for you! Just tell me what kind of design/character you want.

are we still gonna eat at Japan :confused3
EPCOT is the day I always need to break up with a good sit down meal.
I really do want to try the Tonga toast though.........

Monica - Your idea sounds great too! GF Cafe would be fun to try as I would probably not go there with just Sam and I. And Boma would be fun for Thursday night. Sounds like we will have plenty of time to shop and then have a late-ish dinner at Boma and explore the resort for those who haven't been there.

I'll have to bribe you for shirt help too. Can I send you a pack of transfer paper and you can print mine out for me? I don't have a color printer (unless I get one by then). I can probably handle ironing it though. Maybe.

I forgot I don't have a color printer either. Dang, I'm really a perfect waste of skin, aren't I? Next I'll be whining that I'll need someone to fix my buffet plate at BOMA for me.

And I've never had Tonga Toast.

Monica, you are doing a great job of planning everything. Perhaps an in-home side business of Disney travel agency is in your future.

Yes, we'd need to eat more than once a day!:rotfl: Maybe a 9:00 bfast and 2:00 Japan? Is two sit downs too much $$? I'm not a fan of Epcot's counter service choices.

No Faith, you'll have to make your own plate up! This a kid free trip! I'll print out everyone's designs. I'd just need some transfer/ink $$ if I'm going to do everyone's. The transfers really suck up the ink! You guys can take turns buying me drinks!:lmao:

Thank you! I'd LOVE to plan Disney trips for a living!:lovestruc

I'm having a flash back of my first iron on experience. I almost threw the iron across the room I was so agrivated! You must follow directions to a tee!!!

I would be happy to print things out. I have a color printer and don't mind about the ink. I'd be happy to do it! It could be my little contribution, as I am not talented in the design dept. :sad2: I always leave that up to Shawn. But I can ask him if he wants to try and design something for us (I promise not to make it look like anyone is peeing, Monica (still don't see that by the way :confused3) We've got time on that one, I guess.

I like the idea of Boma, GF Cafe, Kona, (plus that's 3 resorts we get to check out)! :woohoo: And of course I think Japan will be a really fun time! I don't mind the two TS on that day at all! I'm not fond of most of the CS choices at Epcot either Monica. Mexico - birds, America - can get that any time, China - nothing spectacular, but good for a snack, I mean, they aren't BAD per se, it's just there are so many yummy choices for TS that I have NEVER done! Not a one! My only TS restaurants at Epcot have been Garden Grill and Coral Reef, so I'm definitely looking forward to finally getting to one!

Sara

Monica and Kimmy - I wonder if we will ever finish our reports now that we have this one to obsess over? :rotfl2: I really want to finish mine - as our last full park day was so great, but now I just like looking here and reading about this trip!

I started reading Kari's and Pakey's report, as well as Heather's and none of them are done yet, are they? Pakey? Are you done? I'm only on page 4 of yours. :rolleyes1

Sara

sore subject on my report! :lmao: I'm so bored writing it that I can't imagine anyone wanting to read it. I have decided that I am a better planner before hand then the story teller after. You have no idea how many trips I am helping to plan right now. Maybe we can all go into business together and start charging for these great planning that we all do!
I have no problem with 2 sit downs on EPCOT day. I too do not really like any CS in EPCOT. I don't really like CS anywhere now that I think about it. :rotfl2:

Kimmy, just fast forward your report to the part where you meet me!:rotfl2: :lmao:

I was originally thinking eat cheap when I decided to go on this little excursion, but I like this much better! I'll just have to scrimp and save a little more.

Sorry I have to charge you girls for ink, but I'd have to spend about $60 by the time everything was printed out! Sara, print away!:thumbsup2
