Please keep your arms, legs and antlers in the vehicle at all times. *2 UPDATES! 1/16

I just read your last update- truthfully, it's the only one I've been able to keep up with, you girls fly through pages!!!

Hey! Glad you're here. Yes, we have been known to talk to much..:rolleyes1

Not to jump ahead in your trip , but DH & I were there the same time as you & I was sure I saw Sara coming into the Nemo show at AK. Did you girls go see that show? I said to my husband " I could swear that was Sara from the Herding cats thread on the dis boards. I would have yelled "Hey Sara" if i had caught sight of you again , but we were in the front row off to the right in the second section & you girls headed up the steps .I lost you in the crowd when leaving. I assured my DH if it was Sara she would understand another dis board stranger saying "hi" & if it wasn't I would just look like an idiot:rotfl:

I'm sure it was us! We were at AK on Friday and I think we saw the 1st show or the 2nd. I can't remember! Not sure what is wrong with me and my memory! Front row? Good for you! Too bad we couldn't meet. We had our lime green Mickey heads on our purses just waiting for a DIS meet! We definitely would have understood. We DIS weird o's get eachother ya know?!:lmao:

Good morning! My alarm went off around 7. Our goal was to leave around 8:30. I hopped in the shower and got ready for our day at Animal Kingdom. I felt naked without my antlers. We had gotten used to having them on our heads and allowing clearance for them getting in and out of the car and rides. Hence the name of our trip report. I wandered downstairs around 8:15 to a quiet living room. Ahhh quiet. That never happens at my house. I grabbed an Asiago cheese Panera bagel, sat down, and propped up my feet. Ahhhh. Soon Michelle came and joined me, then Sara. We were ready to go. We took a side road from our condo to AK and were there in like 5 minutes! Park, hop on a tram, and we're at the park entrance at 9.

As we were waiting in line we saw a "family" (and I use that term loosely) trying to get through the gates. The "dad" went through, then the "mom" with a stroller stood there waiting for her 6 year old to put his ticket in. No one was helping this little boy. The mom stood there, the dad was screaming at him, "Just put it in!!!", and the CM just stood there too. Finally the little boy got his ticket to go through and the dad grabbed his arm and pulled him through the turnstiles roughly. The boy winced and held his arm and the stupid mom just came on through with the stroller and they bickered briefly before moving on. It was disgusting and that family should feel lucky that they were ahead of us because they would have had 3 mother bears makin a scene! Seriously, where's the yeti when you need him? That butthead would have made a great yeti meal!

Onto Expedition Everest! We took our time, I think we stopped for Photopass pictures and enjoyed the sights and sounds. Well, 1 sound. The howler monkeys were in rare form this morning. They were so loud they were attracting quite a crowd. They are morning monkeys I guess! When we got to EE the wait was 20 minutes or so so we got fastpasses and hopped in line.

Sara and I rode together, Michelle took video, and we all screamed and laughed like little girls. The video is pretty funny to listen to if Michelle will post it..:rolleyes1 It was lots of fun as usual.

Next, I THINK we headed over and caught the 10am Nemo show. They were just closing the doors and we made it in. Michelle hadn't seen it before and I think she was impressed. It is such a great show LOVE IT!!

After the show we headed towards Dinoland for a ride on Primeval Whirl, but the wait was 45 minutes!!! Um, no. So, we decided to take a ride with some dinosaurs instead.
GirlsTrip068.jpg

100_0109.jpg

Then we got brave and rode with the scarey dinosaurs. Hated it as usual. This ride is way to rough. We cracked up through it, but we had to stretch out legs out to brace ourselves.

PC050073.jpg

It was time for our fastpasses for EE so we headed back over there. This time Sara rode with Michelle and I rode with the girl with no personality. She sat stone faced through the whole ride which made me not enjoy it as much. So this is the picture. I look like I'm watching tv, not running from a yeti!:happytv: (Michelle and Sara in front, I'm in the yellow in 2nd row)
PC050075.jpg

What time is it? It's Pizzafari time!! The line wasn't too bad. Well, the line I got in was, but not all the others! Story of my life. I always pick the line that doesn't move. I think the couple at the register just didn't understand or something. There were just 2 of them and they took forever. Sara and Michelle were in a different line so they got their food and found seats. I finally got throught the line. We all got the chicken parmasean sandwiches. YUM! Love those things. I got a frozen lemonade instead of a drink and it hit the spot. We sat for awhile and discussed the 85 year old CMs that worked there and how they shouldn't be moving tables. Eventually we decided we should get up and go do something. When we left the line filled the whole entrance area. Tip of the day: Eat by 11:30am.

At some point we got Photopasses done and the guy had us pose like Charlies Angels. Some people had trouble getting their poses down but I'm not naming any names.:rolleyes1 We giggled through the whole thing as usual. The Photopass CMs enjoyed taking our pictures being a different kind of group. We also had on our Girls Trip pins that we had had made.

Next we...well would you look at the time! Gotta go. You'll have to wait on the bumpy ride.

Next up: A bumpy ride: Take two! And an ode to a tree.

Hey! I can't help it if the guy gave me the much harder pose than you gun-toting angels! Ha! Anyone can make a fake gun! Karate chopping is much more advanced! :rotfl:

Great update Monica! :goodvibes

First off...ahhh...asigao cheese bagel from Panera....:cloud9:  :cloud9: They were so good!

Secondly, that dad? What a jerk!

Thirdly, Everest was awesome! That shot of us on the ride looking back at Michelle is one of my favorites!

Also, I actually really like Dinosaur! Yes, its jerky, but I still like it! :rolleyes1

I love the Everest ride photo - all that's missing is a latte in your hands - you look so casual! :rotfl2:

Ok, so one bumpy ride down, another to go! Loving it! :goodvibes

Great memories from another great day Monica!

I had forgotten about that "dad" at AK - what a jerk!

That EE ride was so much fun. I will try to post the video tonight. The last time I tried to post a video I couldn't get it to work for some reason. It is pretty funny - the poor guy sitting next to me!

Yum - Pizzafari memories..... :cloud9:

I remember our AK day being such a relaxing type of day - we got so much done (in fact everything we wanted) but weren't rushing around crazy at all.

And yes, that was my first Nemo show and I was impressed - great show!:thumbsup2

Great update and pics.

horrible parents.

ooh I would like to see video of EE.

LOL!! Michelle, have you ever seen the Seinfeld episode where Kramer took bootleg video of a movie in the theater? It was real jerky, and he was laughing and eating popcorn. That's what your video reminds me of.:lmao: Also, our ride photo was funny because you were holding up the camera!

That was such a great day. No rushing around, just walking through the park enjoying ourselves.:cloud9:

Great update and pics.

horrible parents.

great poses. :lmao:

Hey Scott! Thanks for reading. I'm slowly making my way through your report. My goal is to get caught up before you're finished!

Alright - here is the video. I hope this works.

Warning** The screaming gets loud - turn down your volume!

And sorry to whoever was sitting next to me!

Oops - need to try again...

I love it Michelle! You did such a great job holding up your camera! Glad you didn't lose this one! :goodvibes

Sara

Great video! That's as close to riding EE as I have gotten! It will probably stay that way too... I don't do backwards. :crazy2:

Nice video! How did you hold on to the camera? I like how there you gals were screaming one second, then laughing the next. I'm happy to learn I'm not the only one who does that :goodvibes

An Ode to a Tree
by Poohtigeey

O animal tree, O animal tree
how detailed are your branches.
O animal tree, O animal tree
how detailed are your branches.
With turtles, monkeys, sharks and bats,
3 goofy girls yelling "Look at that!"
O animal tree, O animal tree
how detailed are your branches.

Seriously, we spent WAY too much time lookin at this tree! One of us would find an animal, point it out, and the other two would go, "Oh yeah".

Oh Monica! You cracked me up with your Ode to a Tree! :lmao: You are so creative and talented - seriously!

I had never taken the time to walk through and look at the tree so close up before - it is so impressive. It was so nice to walk through with Monica and Sara. We had such a fun time - it was nice and leisurely and we talked and laughed up a storm.

I miss you guys! Wish we were back there together right now!

After exploring the tree we popped into a store to look around. I found the cutest stuffed hippo that I knew my son would love, but I decided not to get it. We tried on hats instead.

You know those pictures of the bridemaid fixing the bride's veil?

Time to meet Stitch! He hugged all of us, and we got some good Photopass pics taken. (I hope to be able to post those soon.)
PC050187.jpg

At some point Michelle got us a Fastpass for Kilimanjaro Safari while Sara and I grabbed some drinks so it was time to see some animals. We had hoped to sit in the front, but they stuck us in the back instead. Oh, was that a fun ride! It was so bumpy that we were flying out of our seats. We laughed so hard I'm pretty sure we scared away some animals. We never did see any giraffes or rhinos, but the elephants were everywhere so they must have thought we were calling them! The little girl in front of us thought we were insane.
