Great story Molly! Don't worry, my hubbie's proposal wasn't much more romantic. We were going to Gatlinburg for Fourth of July. On our way out of town Dave said he had to go back home because he forgot something. (The Ring.) We were going to spend The 4th in Pigeon Forge and stay for the fireworks. Dave had to go back to the house after lunch because he forgot something. (The ring). Evening rolls around and the biggest storm I've ever witnessed rolls in. It was scarey and even destroyed the stage they had set up. So fireworks were cancelled and we went back to the house. I guess poor Dave was scrambling to come up with a plan B since his fireworks proposal wasn't possible. I hop in the shower and instead of putting my stuff back in the drawer I just came out to the living room. Wet hair, no makeup, oversized Winnie the Pooh shirt. Apparantly Dave had put the ring in the drawer for me to find when I put my stuff away, but I ruined his plan B so he had to just say "go look in the drawar!" Romantic huh? BTW, my mom and little brother were there too.

Vow renewal in 2020 sounds good. It would be 22 years for us.

Ok, so we're narrowing this down. No park character breakfast, and no Chef Mickey's. Anyone else had bad luck w/ O'Hana's? Maybe we should try Cape May? I wish 1900 had better characters.

Cute proposal story Monica! Funny how things work out sometimes - all the planning and then something totally puts a wrench in it!

I'm ok with any of the choices for breakfast. All of the remaining choices are places I've not tried so I'm excited for something new! Monica, depending on what time you have to leave on Sunday mayble you'll want to make Sunday a non-park day? And do a park on Friday instead? Or just a park on Saturday? I'd just hate for you to waste the money for a full park day if you have to leave in the afternoon.

Pakey - will you be able to have breakfast with us Sunday morning or will you need to leave really early?

It's going to depend on what kind of flight I can get. We could do AK on Friday then head over to the party. I guess there's plenty to do w/out being in a park. I just don't want to spend the money on unnecessary tickets, but I'm sure Sara, Kimmy and Missa would want to go to a park on Sun since they aren't leaving til Monday morning. Good thing we've started our planning early!

I'm sure we could fill our days with non-park stuff but on the other hand I'd hate for you to only visit Epcot. It is just lots of money for tickets. I will have to be home sometime Sunday also. We can decide later I guess once you secure airfare. :)

Monica - maybe you should just buy an annual pass?! :lmao: Then you'll have to go back to make it worthwhile! ;)

Or just splurge on the 10 day non-expiring pass - then you will have next trip's ticket paid for! I'm sure you could sell that to Dave, right? Paying ahead! :rolleyes1

Oh yeah. It's not hard enough scrounging up the $600 plus already, I'm supposed to find even more for a pass?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$Actually, that wouldn't work either because we do the package and me already having a ticket would probably mess everything up. I'm hoping for a family trip in Dec '09.

I actually haven't priced tickets in awhile. Well, we could be at MK from 4-12 w/ our party tickets so that's a good amount of time there. Michelle I'm at your mercy on Sunday since I'm hoping you'll drop me off at the airport on your way home. Do you need to leave mid day?

Sure - I can take you to the airport. :thumbsup2 I can leave any time as long as I'm home before Monday morning! I'm hoping Erik will come in for the weekend to stay with Sam and the dogs - otherwise Sam will go to my parents and I'll have a pet sitter here.

Hi Girls,
I have to subscribe to your thread even if I don't get to go. You all will have so much fun without whinny DH's there to mess up all the fun :lmao: , just kidding, sort of . What are your dates December 4 or 5th? How did you get your DH's to agree to this and stay home with the kids? i have always wanted to go to MVMCP. I might have to go look at some airfare :scratchin.

Wouldn't you just have to buy a one-day ticket for a package? Plus, it's not activated until you actually go so it won't expire either. Correct me if I'm wrong, since I've never done a package before! :confused3 I'm just sayin....I really have no idea how packages work.

Whew - there sure has been a lot of talking going on this morning! I can't believe it's past 11 already! :scared1:

Glad you are here - that is the first step. ;) Some of us are coming in on the 4th and some the 5th. Monica and I will be coming in on Thursday and leaving Sunday. I think some others are coming Friday and leaving Monday. And a couple lucky ones will be there all week with their families.
I'm sure you can think of some way to convince your husband....

::yes::
But sometimes it gets hard to not laugh out loud here in the office, so I'm trying to be :ssst:

Nichole - Get some fake eyelashes and bat them at Tom! Maybe he'll come around! ::yes::

Yeah!! You should come!!!:goodvibes

Dang guys, you have been busy over here as well. Seriously, I have to work for a living but I seem to spend all day dissing. I blew off training my new acct yesterday so that I could get caught up on here and now today looks to be the same.

I can already tell you that I'm starting to waffle on my days there. I have an AP so park tickets are taken care of. Hotel at POP will be nothing compared to what I'm used to spending for a room so another day wouldn't matter there either. I have to eat no matter where I'm at so I don't count that as money for vacation. That leaves that dang airfare which will be the biggest part. Spreading the cost of that airfare over 4 days sounds so much better than over 3 days. I'll be looking into it. I have no vacation time left because of going to Europe in September for 2 weeks and then the land/sea trip in Jan for 2 weeks. I guess I feel an illness coming on already and I'll have to use sick time.

So is the plan to do MK on Friday? Monica, what time are you coming in? What time does MVMCP start?

I can probably do Sunday breakfast. We usually get a flight that leaves about 2:00 pm which means Magical Express pickup at 11:00 am. Or I could do towncar transfer and I'd get an extra hour that way. I hate that ME anyway.

And no vow renewal for me in 2020. I'll probably be too old to travel. :rotfl: Maybe I could sit in a rocker and watch the rest of you guys.

Pakey - Monica is planning to come in on Thursday. The MVMCP officially starts at 7 but they start letting people in at 4. (Sorry for answering for you Monica! :flower3: )
