we are arriving the end of the month and I am now doing the on line checkin
Im on the part of putting in a CC
we are using GC to pay for everything
is there a way I can still do on line check in without the CC or is there a place to put in Im using GC
also last year it seems they changed how you can use GC
before I would put a few hundred $ on the room charge and we would just charge against it when it was low Id put more GC on the account
but last year I couldnt do that I could only put GC that would cover the balance of the account and even at that there were a few things that ended up
going on the CC but was a hold and eventually came off
if was very confusing and made it look like we were billed twice until the amounts dropped off
sorry I cant remember this from last year
thanks for any help

Unfortunately, they require a credit card on your account when doing online check in.

At that point, it's probably easier just to pay with the GC and skip the charge to room part. It loses a bit of the "cool factor," but it should alleviate any headaches about not getting the CC charged.

If you want to charge back to your room, you need to enter a credit card. What you can do is go to the front desk every night or so and pay down the balance with your gift cards so it never actually hits the credit card. Just be aware that they WILL put "temporary holds" against your credit card, but if you pay down the charges nightly with a gift card that shouldn't pile up too much and the holds will eventually drop off.

Or as PP suggests you can just pay using your gift card and skip the whole charging to the room thing.

This is exactly what I always do. Charge to my room, then go down with my gift card and pay balance in the evening. Make sure to add a credit card that you don’t mind holds being placed on. I would NOT use a debit card.
