Hi this isn't a disney question but I hope you can help. I have to go to Chicago on business this July. My husband is coming along. The question I have is I have good ticket prices through American Airlines. I have never flown with them. Any help would be great.

Also any ideas for my husband and coworker's husband to do while we work would be great. They both enjoy golf! :)

this is what we did in chicago. We went to navy pier, downtown chicago. They have diner cruises which are very nice. They have all ranges of them and prices. very romantic. They also have plays at navy pier. I enjoyed the modern adaptation of a midsummers night dream. We also went to medivial times it is a dinner show that features knights and horses with jousting very nice. if you want more details instant message me and I can help you plan an itenerary.

ps don't forget the fabulous fireworks every night at navy pier.

have a great trip

I agree with the suggestions but where in Chicago are you staying? You shouldn't have any problems with AA.

Hi thanks for all the info.
Safetymom: we are staying at the hotel intercontinental

Kimberly: Stupid question but how do I instant message you? :flower:

What part of Chicago would that be? If you are staying near the Lake and Navy Pier that is a great place to visit. But Chicago is a large area and that may not be close for you.

Check out the link

I live in a suburb and often come in to town to check out the wonderful museums, Museum of Science and Industry is great, the Adler Planetarium, Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium are all on a 'campus' that is directly across from Soldiers Field, where we've gone in to take a 'free tour'

About Navy Pier, its wonderful in warm weather, or if there is something public going on (right now its the Flower and Garden Show) but the rides arent going, the Children's museum is geared for younger (maybe 2nd and younger) kids... they do have an IMAX Theatre that can be great... I thought there were only fireworks on special weekends :confused3

Transportation can be expensive, I think i took a taxi for $25 to the Science and Industry (great trains, planes, and a mock coal ride, a submarine, and the Apollo Space program, with the lunar and capsule there)

The metro mix link i gave you you can search golf... someone on the Dis gave me a link for my dad to golf, that is country wide. . . I can search.. here it is..

I just plugged in a date and this popped up...

03/23 01:30p Indian Boundary GC
Chicago, IL $19.00 $7.97 !!

Be aware, its very expensive to park cars in Chicago Hotels (app $30 - 35 a 24 hour day!)

If you're going in Spring, The Cubs may be playing, there are some great Beer places around too!! Steak joints...
