We are going back and forth between driving and flying. It will be me alone with the three kiddos and the family is worried about me being on the road alone.

Ok here is my problem if we do fly I won't be able to make and pay for the airline tickets until the first of September, we are leaving on the 17th, but our package will be paid off the first of August.

So can I still get magical express if we have already recieved out information and tickets? Do I need to go ahead and put on our reservations that I want magical express even though I won't know the airline or information about times?

We will be staying at POP September 17-23.

Yes, you can add DME to your reservation, even if you don't have your flight plans made yet. And if you decide to drive, you don't need to let Disney or DME know that you aren't going to be using the bus.
In any case...be sure you realize that you may end up paying more by waiting that long to book your airfare. It's really the luck of the draw...sometimes you can get a really great deal on airfare by waiting. More often, the fares are higher though.

We were at WDW in March. Right up until the week before departure, we planned to rent a car at the airport - then changed our minds and wanted to use the DME.

I just phoned Disney reservations and they took care of it. Unfortunately, this did not leave enough time for me to receive my packet with luggage tags, etc but the CM said it wouldn't be a problem ... they could give us our bus passes upon check-in at DME and then we could provide our luggage tag info and they would pull our luggage.

I was a bit skeptical about them getting our luggage, but was assured all along the way that they do this all the time.

No problems whatsoever. Everything showed up at the room as promised.

Thanks you really eased my mind. The kids really want to fly but can't get the money until last minute. but now I can tell them we are doing it.
