DW and I will be arriving CDG Paris from London early on a late June Saturday morning as part of our 3rd Wedding Anniversary Celebration Trip. After we catch the VEA to the Newport Bay Club we plan to hit the parks and will have 4 nights of dining ahead of us. For those of you DIS'ers familiar with DLRP, can you please give us your recommendations for memorable dining? We are planning to purchase the Half Board Premium Plan as a start, however we would like our four nights at Disney Paris to long remain in our memories.

Here are a couple of items we'd like to incorporate to narrow the list (ALL suggestions/ideas welcomed!!!!):

1. Great food: We are from the US, so we'd prefer something other than tex/mex, bbq, etc. Local regional is preferred (if possible), but good steakhouses (maybe 1 night) or haut cuisine (California Grill??) are OK.
2. Table Service over Buffet (DW not a fan of buffet dining unless buffet is outstanding).
3. Great wine list - French preferred.
4. Romantic: Ambiance will be important!
5. Disney Fun: Characters OK! (we've actually never done a character meal before, seems fun if food is ok! Ahh, the photo opportunities..).
6. Schedule: Saturday / Sunday crowds vs. Monday / Tuesday?
7. Hope to secure reservations within the next few weeks.
8. Finally, not so concerned about cost (it's our Anniversary!). Please give us your suggestions to restaurants/experiences that will make our trip truly magical and memorable.

International and US DIS'ers: THANK YOU very much!! :yay:

I'll start off with
Blue Lagoon ~ Ambiance http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/bluelagoon.html
California Grill ~ Haute Cuisine http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/californiagrill.html
Walt's ~ Just a little reminder of the great man himselfhttp://www.dlpfoodguide.com/walts.html
Auberge de Cendrillon ~ Food, classic French country style surrounded by Disney Royalty http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/cendrillon.html
King Ludwig's Castle ~ Food inspired by German cooking http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/kingludwig.html

The only problem with some of these might be park hours, I don't know what time in the evening you would like to dine, but obviously the one's inside the park itself, Walt's Blue Lagoon and Auberge de Cendrillon, will be dependant on the park opening hours at the time of your visit. The links take you to dlpfoodguide where you'll be able to see the menu and the winelists are in the specials tab. One of my favourite bits of the trip is planning the restaurants - have fun. :goodvibes

Blue Lagoon & Walts,

Blue Lagoon wasn't amazing food but a great place to eat all the same for the experience alone (ask for a table by the beach!)

If you want great food and romance (and nice french wine) Walts is a must! (they don;t let you pour the wine either you have a waitress on hand that does it when she sees your glass getting empty!) But I found this the most romantic place ever and had a wonderful meal. I wish we had a Walts back home.

Especially if you book Walts for about half an hour before the parade starts (parade was 5pm so we booked for 4:30pm) and just before your time slot pop in and request a window seat. It was our wedding anniversary trip there last week and so hubby used that as a line to ensure nice tables, best wedding anniversary ever couldn;t have been anywhere better!

I know you have said you prefer menu over buffet and avoiding the Tex-Mex but the Lucky Nugget is still absolutely fabulous fun and the food is good and plenty of it (especially desserts) this is a character restaurant and it is worth the experience.

I see you call it your AnniverDisney too, that is exactly what this hol was named for us-the trip reports will be up in the next couple of days (they are seriously detailed) time permitting, as we did 3 days in Paris & 3 days in Disney-wonderful. Any questions at all drop me a PM. You'll love it no doubt whatever you choose.

I would go with
Auberge de Cendrillon ~ I haven't done this yeat but it looks awesom
King Ludwig's Castle ~ This is good.
Inventions is a Character buffet but very good http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/inventions.html

I am not so keen on the Blue lagoon as we never seem to get good service there but the ambiance is good.

I'd concur with the above except King Ludwig's :)

Perhaps I should point out that we haven't tried King Ludwig's, just thought it might make an interesting change from the rest. :) It might worthwhile checking the reviews on dlpfoodguide too, although I think personal recommendations from this site will be a better guide. :)

Not to worry I think I'm the lone dissenting voice on Ludwig's :)

I'd go for
Auberge de Cendrillon
Walt's
Inventions
King Ludwig's or Blue Lagoon
but I see you go to Disneyland and I'm not sure how similar the menu is to Blue Bayou

For a character meal I strongly recommend an early lunch at Cafe Mickey. The food is really REALLY good, the characters come round whilst you're eating, the staff were really friendly.... :goodvibes
