I am all finished packing & about to put the luggage tags on my suitcases when I realized... THe tags have our name & Room # on them- BUT WE WERE UPGRADED!!! They didn't send new tags- are the suitcases going to get to our room?? I am FLIPPING out right now PLEASE TELL ME SOMEONE IS STILL AWAKE TO HELP ME!!!

Do you know your new room number? If so, simply mark out the former number and write in your new stateroom number.

And calm down!

DCL told me to put a line thru the bar code and write the new stateroom number on the tag. Have a great trip!!!

If my memory serves me correctly, the tags should have a slit in them. Wrap the tag around the handle, and shove the big end of the tag through the slit. Hope this helps.

Have a great time! I know you were trying to find a way to surprise your BF with the REAS. At this point - you could tell him you are just too tired to do the ressie rush!

Don't worry Princess. We also changed our room number and I just crossed it out with a black marker and wrote the new one. We got every piece of our luggage. Relax and have a great vacation.

We had a similar situation. We got our luggage tags with the origional room number on them, but Disney had upgraded us about 3 weeks before we sailed. To further complicate things we upgraded ourselves at port. We never changed the room number(so it still had rm#1's number). Our luggage showed up no problem, a little later than others but it did show up We had it by 6 or so.

ok thank you so much- I think I did it- we have 2 pieces of luggage I put 2 tags on each- on with the bar code crossed off & the room # & one with the bare code not crossed off but the # changed- I hope it works! Ok, I'm going to sleep! THANK YOU AGAIN YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!!

Hey Princess,

I even have a better story. We changed rooms AFTER we got on board. We swapped with my MOM and made the changes at Guest services after we had looked at the rooms (like at 1:30). Of our 7 pieces of luggage, 5 went to the right room and two went to the original rooms.

If you should have a problem your stateroom host can straighten it out.

Get some rest, relax and ENJOY the CRUISE. I've only been off the ship for 4 days and that's too long.

they seem flimsy but they work just fine...

I hope Disney is going to be getting your Bags at the airport??

if not then u dont need to put them on til later...

Same thing happened to us last week with our upgrade. We crossed out the old room number and wrote in with a black sharpie the new room number and we got our luggage just fine. Also you don't need to write it on ALL of your docs as they have a master list when you hit the white tent at the port building entrance. I wrote it on all of my papers but didn't need to. If you have time on the plane you could do it but the most important thing is that the right #'s are on your luggage tags.

Hey I just went looking to find out what happened to this thread since I went to sleep after I posted the last time. WOW I sounded like a nut didn't I?? Well, thanks to all of you for being there in my time of need!!! The luggage arrived just fine! Oh & My bf was the one with all the konk koolers.... I had a castaway freeze in hand at all moments!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
