Please help newbie-What are the most popular times of year for DVC ressies?

From reading these boards it seems that DVC members seem to like to vacation at different times of the year than non-members. Can anyone tell me what are the peak times at DVC, not by Disney's definition, but according to when it's hardest to get a reservation? So far it looks like the hardest time to get a reservation is the 1st week of Dec. Is it safe to bet that DVC will have high occupancy at times when the parks are at low occupancy? Or is it just that DVC members like to see the Christmas lights?

Also, does anyone know if the BCV and BWV get really crowded in late Oct/early Nov during the Food & Wine Festival? Is this a popular event? I just want to know how far I'll be needing to make my reservations when I become a member. (...can't wait!!! ) I'm thinking that my family would like a 2br @ BCV in mid-Oct and a studio @ BCV the last week in April. If anyone really feels like being helpful, could you recommend a use year to request if we want to visit in October and April every year. Thanks in advance, you guys/gals are the best.

We always go early Dec. one year and then late November the next to get full use of our annual pass.
Maybe you could set up a poll about this. I would make it so that people can pick more than one month. If you would rather not, I guess I could try and figure out how to do it.
