My dad was enroute to meet us at Fort Wilderness with his 5th wheel. Unfortuantely he ended up hospitlized and is pretty much incoherant (he is diabetic). :( We were to arrive on Friday. I've called Disney and found I can cancel with a $200 penality, but somehow I need to move his rig from Mississippi to Wisconsin. The doctor said he can stablize him to fly, but he could not tolerate a 16/18 hour drive to Wisconsin. I have to fly to New Orleans or Gulf Port, MS and I don't even know if those airports are fully functional.

I know he said he had this insurance that would cover such expenses such as bringing someone to him, his ticket home and then the moving of the rig back home. I've tried Good Sam's and he let that insurance lapse last year. I called Escapee's and they suggested Sky Med but he does not have coverage there either.

Are there any other places?

I appreciate any help.

Call Disney center Reservation and tell them you want to change arrival date to something next month or later. When you get a new arrival day call back the next week and cancel the reservation you will be more then 3 weeks out and you will get full refund. Hope this Helps.

Did you try at www.woodalls.com? Someone over there may have advise for you. I am sorry I could not be of any help, but I am sorry to hear about your dad.

Try to call an RV dealership in the area of where the 5th wheel is. I know they have truck drivers that transport the trailers from manufacturer to the dealership & most have services where thay will deliver the trailer to you if you purchase from another state. Perhaps they could give you the name of a private driver that you could hire.

Hope everything works out for you & I hope you Dad recovers soon.

I would think Disney would allow you to cancel that without a refund since he's in the hospital. And I don't see why you would have to pay 200$ for a cancel, it's usually only a one night stay, which shouldn't be more than 70-80$ for a preffered site.
I hope he's feeling better, and you've been able to get things under control.

Very sorry to hear your dad is sick! I hope he gets better real soon!!!!

PM me if you still need the 5th wheel moved. My dad does that for a living. Fully insured and DOT certified. Have no clue what he charges, but I can give you his contact info if you are interested in finding out.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your dad!
