We are moving into a new (to us) house in a week and a half and I have to pick paint colors.

We want to do the back of the house in a general Disney theme. It is the kitchen, eating area and family room, all basically one big room. What color would co-ordinate with all of that? Our cupboards and the hardwood in the family room are a very dark cherry, the tile and countertops are a creamy white color.

The girls bathroom upstairs that the guests will use is being done in a general Disney theme also, with a Mickey shower curtain.

I am going to do the spare room in the Tinkerbell colors.

For our master bedroom we were thinking of focusing on the four theme parks, but I don't really have a clue what this should look like? I need bedding ideas (a king size cherry bed), decoration ideas and a paint color. The attached bathroom has a cherry vanity with creamy countertops and floor with an orange tile in it for an accent.

We also need to paint the hallway, half bath and formal living room, dining room (which is one big room). These areas of the house will not be done in Disney, but will be decorated a bit more formal with candles, etc and done seasonally.

The colors I have in our house now are all some shade of beige (neutral) and I think I might be ready for some color.

Please help me!!!!

Based on your kitchen cabinets and the general feel of the color, I would go for a soft, creamy yellow or yellow tinged white for your kitchen area. You can play anything off that. A brighter (but still soft) yellow would also make an excellent background for any of the primary colors in your furniture, pilllows, placemats, etc. (Every time we sell a house, we use a yellowish white and it always sells quickly - it's a homey, welcoming color.)

Then you can pick an accent color for one wall (a fireplace wall, the tallest wall, whatever). I think green is a great accent color right now. Choose one with a yellow tint in it to blend with the rest of the room and to brighten the space. Or, if you are brave, go with Mickey Mouse pants red for an accent, just be prepared to do a coat of tinted primer and at least 2 coats of paint. Red is hard to get just right, that's why I didn't suggest it to begin with. If you go with red, you might not paint a whole wall, but paint large boxes on the wall(s) to put framed disney stuff in.
