Okay, I think I am going to break down and make a pre-wedding trip. My wedding is in September, (it's only an intimate one), but there are so many things I want to take a look at before I make the decisions. I have been to Disney several times before, but not since I've considered marrying there, so there are many things I've overlooked. Not to mention I've never been to any of the wedding location choices. With that said can you all help me find the "cheapest" way to do this little trip. It will not be more than 3 days and I will not be buying any park tickets. (this is strictly an informational trip,...lol) Since I live pretty far away I will have to fly. Don't know yet if DF will be able to take the time off work to come with me or not. I will need to stay on site since I will not be renting a car. I'll probably stay at a value. I got a discount code for room only. Does anyone know how much a value will be with this code. (It's the code from the DIS board).

I feel guilty making this little trip since we are trying to save all our money for our big trip in september, but I feel that I need to go in order to make some informative decissions. Please give me any suggestions on how to do this on a budget. Thanks.

I don't know what code you're using - but go to www.mousesavers.com and she has reported prices with various codes. We're getting a moderate at $89. with the Disney Visa code right now. I think that's about the best non-FL-resident code out there. The values are $69 with the Disney Visa code - I think the other anybody codes they're $74 - but I'm not positive on that.

Enjoy your planning!princess:

If you will be staying at a Value resort and doing a lot of traveling around the World you may be best off renting a car. Except for the monorail resorts, getting from one to another will require taking a bus to a Park or Downtown Disney and then transferring. Also if you want to stop by the Wedding Pavilion you can't get there on Disney Transport.

Renting a small car will also save you from having to deal with Mears!

Just an idea...post your questions here...about location and such. You'd be suprised...maybe DIS'er can help answer your questions, post pictures, etc. Then you can save the $$$ and use it for your big trip. It's worth a shot. I have read about lots of weddings here on the boards. There is even a forum for it!!! Good luck!!!

We did the same thing before our Disney wedding in 1999. For our scouting mission we got a really good package deal on Southwest. I haven't seen deals like that incl. hotel and car from them in a long time though.

I also really think you'd be better off renting the smallest, cheapest car you can get. Disney transportation is going to be awful to use to resort-hop and check locations. Definately check www.mousesavers.com like the previous poster mentioned.

Take tons of pics while you look at locations and such. We took a ton and it was nice to be able to show people at home where the ceremony was, the reception, the dessert party, etc.

Happy Planning!
