hey everyone :wave2:

So I just finnished booking my trip to WDW!! Me and my DBF are going april 24th to may 2nd and we're staying at pop for 8 nights 9 days. We want to have 2 dinners in the world and we have no idea which restaurants to pick :confused3??? We were thinking of having one dinner in epcot (maybe in WS) and then another dinner anywhere else. So I have two questions for you, if you had to pick one:

1. What is your fav restaurant in WS?

2. What is another fav restaurant of yours anywhere else in disney world?

preferably not the most expensive.. but one with good food and maybe a cool theme or something.. i'm really big on theme! :goodvibes

thanks so much :)

I think Sci-Fi has the best theming of any restaurant in the parks!!! Make sure you go for lunch, it is wonderful to walk in out of the hot Fla. sunshine to a nice cool "night" at a drive-in movie. :goodvibes

As far as WS goes.... Le Cellier is fantastic, but not much on theming. I think I'd recommend Coral Reef. It is really cool to feel like you are eating underwater. :) But, if you do decide to go there, make sure you request a table beside the tank. It is worth waiting for, and it makes all the difference in the world!

recommend for someone else without knowing what they're looking for. In the WS a couple of places come to mind,

Le Cellier has been mentioned above. You may have difficulty getting an ADR now. It's one of the hardest to get. Biergarten is one of my favorites - good food and a fun atmosphere. Restaurant Marrakesh is a little exotic but a little watered down compared to true Moroccan so if you frequent Middle Eastern restaurants regularly it may not be the place.

Non Epcot - Ohana is a good choice. If you want something a little more special, then one of the signature restaurants like California Grill or Jiko. Boma is a buffet style restaurant with an African flair that's reasonably priced.

My DBF and I went in April of 2007. On our first night there we strolled around DTD and then decided to have a light meal at Rainforest Cafe. We loved it! We sat outside next to the water and watched the boats go by. We ordered appetizers and a drink or two each. It ended up costing us around $50 and we were both plenty full on the two appetizers we ordered. It was really a nice experiance.
We also ate at Fulton's one night...it was EXPENSIVE! The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was really neat but again, very expensive. We had a bottle of wine with dinner and our bill was over $200!
We ate at Coral Reef one night too and sat right next to the tank. The atmosphere was awesome, but I wasn't a huge fan of the food. It was about $80 for the two of us, which seemed like a lot of money for just ok food.

Our experiances may not be the same as others. Just because we didn't really like the food at Coral Reef doesn't mean that on another night it's not the best food ever!

Just thought I'd give you our experiances.

Good luck!

My favorite in the world is Boma! It's a buffet at AKL, which has great atmosphere within itself. AKL is a neat place to visit. After dinner, we like to walk outside and stroll the grounds and see the animals. The food is a very unique experience, as well. Everything has been given an African twist, which means spices that I don't normally get to enjoy, but are absolutely great. However, if you don't like spices..this is not the place for you. Otherwise, I'd say give it a go! The service we had was also wonderful. I'm lactose intolerant and the chef came out and walked me down the line to tell me what was lactose free. She even made me a peach sorbet for dessert and brought it out to the table herself. She also came out to check on us during the meal. Other chefs had walked me through different buffets, but none of the others ever came to our table just to check on us. She was fantastic! (& the sorbet was great too!)

For WS Akerhaus has really nice theming, but is a princess character meal. Teppan Edo was good, but not really super special theming once inside. (At least no different than if you went to a local hibachi grill.) We did enjoy counter service in China a few times. I've heard really nice things about Les Chefs de France, esp. if you can get a window seat near time for Illuminations.

Hope that helps!

1.) i would eat at canada in WS. the cheddar soup is amazing!

2.) if i could choose anywhere else, i would choose jiko at the animal kingdom lodge. it may be a little pricey and you may think the menu looks insane but everything is absolutely delicious!

My favorite restaurant in the World Showcase is Biergarten. I just love the atmostphere. I liked the food too. We both loved our dinners at LeCellier and the service was amazing but if I was only going to eat once in the WS I would go to Biergarten.

World Showcase: Biergarten. Good food, good fun and very entertaining! :thumbsup2
Anywhere in the World: Kona or O'Hana. My personal preference would be Kona, though O'Hana will be more entertaining. :)
For a very special evening, any of the Signature restaurants. My personal preference is Artists Point. Love the atmosphere! Take time to enjoy the Lodge and it's surroundings. It's a lovely 10 minute boatride from MK.

Biergarten is by far my favorite WS restaurant, as long as you want to do a buffet!! The food is excellent and the entertainment is great as well!

My DBF and I had a great time making friends with the people on either side of us, swaying to the music together, talking and having a great time.

I have been to almost every other WS restaurant (haven't done Akershus or Teppan Edo) and this is by far my favorite!:thumbsup2

I love chef mickeys at the contemparay. and the Hoop De Du Revue Dinner show. Also on international drive there is a place called Angels. Its a buffet. it has a large selection of food. weve been there a few times!! im going with my bf too in may. how old are you??

:hippie:  ;)

World Showcase: Tutto Italia (we love italian food)

Anywhere else: Sci-Fi Drive in for the theme, the milkshake & burger!
