Ok, so I have tweaked my itinerary a few times already (and I don't leave until October 15), but i am looking for one more TS restaurant. Oh, by the way, my party consists of me (26) and my mom (old enough to have a 26 year old :rotfl: ) So, here's my plan for the day in question: I plan on hitting MGM as close to opening as possible, and spending most of the day there-- until around 3. We will be spending a couple hours there our first day, so we should be done my 3 or so I figured. Anyhoo, I would like to come back to the Poly and relax for an hour or two and then head out to dinner. We are already hitting the Poly for dinner earlier, so I am looking for somewhere different. I am not looking for a reall expensive meal like CA Grill, but still looking for a TS restaurant. Going into a park is fine b/c we have park hoppers. I was considering Tony's at MK, but I hear such mixed reviews about it!! My mom and I like Italian and we don't have any Italian meals scheduled-- what do you guys think?? I am up for any suggestions, especially in the parks- I love park hopping

Thanks as always!!

Hi Ashley, We were at MK in Dec and on a fluke decided to try the Plaza. It looks straight towards the Castle. It was mostly sandwiches but we had a great time and the food was very good. The deserts are nice too! Check it out on the menus here. Good luck!

My personal favorite, esp. if you have just 2 adults traveling is Boma's @ AKL. YUM:love: It is totally different from anything else you can find at WDW, and the atmosphere is great. Below is the review page for Boma from allears.net:

I found it to be a truly incredible, delicious experience:wizard:
(And I can't tolerate spicy food at all! It turns out spicy when talking about African food means flavorful the chef said, not spicy like hot!!!)

If I were with my 26 year old daughter.....which I am not old enough to have!?!? I would think about taking the monorail to one of the restaurants in Epcot.

We love Ohana's at the Poly, Le Cellier and Coral Reef at Epcot and Crystal Palace at MK, I went with a girlfriend last May, both in our 30's and we LOVED Crystal Palace;)

Try Trails End, best lowest cost buffet in Disney.

I can't beleive I forgot about Trails End!!! You can just hop on the boat to Fort Wilderness and have a great lunch or dinner. I love the atmoshpere! I love Trails End. That is the first place we go when arriving at WDW!!!;)

Another for Coral Reef. If you want a more laid back dinner how about Beaches and Cream?

I know you said you were already eating at Poly, is it at Kona? I hear it is supposed to be great.

I was thinking maybe Chef Mickey's, we love their dinner, or maybe Concourse Steakhouse. There is also WCC at WL. I hear they have bottomless milkshakes :)

I'm also 26 and taking my folks in Jan!

If you like park dining, I think the Plaza at MK is a great change of pace. It's such a nice, hidden spot. And not very expensive compared to other options. We do enjoy Tony's -- for pasta. They don't always do the complicated stuff well, but they know how to make spaghetti! And MK is so easy if you're at the Poly.

Rose and Crown and Chefs de France are fun if you're up for a monorail ride (or take a Beach Club bus from the MK and walk in to WS the back way). It also looks like the restaurant in the Italy pavillion will be open, though under a new name and management, in October. Worth looking into.

Thanks for all the help everyone! I think I am going to call tomorrow and try to get a ressie at Tony's that night. We've never been there, and it is so easy to get to form the Poly. We are planning on going to MK the next night also, just to watch Spectro and Wishes (for our last night, boo!!!), so mayeb while everyone is watching those after dinner we can hit a couple rides

I had also thought about the new Italian restaurant in Italy at Epcot, but does anyone know when ressies will become available for that place? I am also leary of hitting Epcot that night, however, because it's a Firday of food & wine festival and i know it will be packed with locals.

Oh, decisions decisions.......
