Please help me out with Spectro choice in May

We have a choice between seeing Spectro on a Tuesday or Saturday during our May trip

Tuesday 18: MK closes at 9:30pm - Spectro at 8:30pm, Wishes at 9:30pm

Saturday 22: MK closes at 10pm - Spectro at 9:00pm, Wishes at 10:00pm

Not sure which day to go with DW (she has never seen Spectromagic before)

Are there showings of Spectro after Wishes? That's the best one for crowds and getting a good place for Wishes. I find Main Street too much of a zoo for Spectro, so we watch it from the Liberty Square/Frontierland transition. However, you have to be on Main Street for Wishes and getting there from Liberty Square might be a pain.

robinb thanks for your vote - both nights only have one Spectro - both cases before Wishes - usually I watch Spectro from near Splash Mountain (allows me to sneak some extra BTMRR and SM rides as the parade attracts people from the rides) then I walk a bit and turn towards the Castle to see the fireworks show. Not sure how we will approach it this time since it will be DW's first time seeing Spectro

We do like to watch Wishes from Fantasyland near Winnie the Pooh - you feel like you are right under the action

Wow, we are there at the same time. I was thrilled to see a Tuesday parade, as this is typically not a given. Sat. in MK should be avoided whenever possible.

You will never catch me at the Magic Kingdom on a Saturday. That's when all the locals come with their kids who are in school during the week. So my vote is for Tuesday.

I voted for Tuesday because I agree Saturday is not as plesant for MK. However, I just wanted to add whatever you do don't miss Spectro. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it, it's my favorite part of MK.

Could someone tell me how to find out what nights Spectro and Wishes are at the MK? We are going the first week in May. Thank you.

then you click on the day of the week you are checking for hours and parades etc. - I am pretty sure it will be Tuesday and Saturday that week

I'll be one of the crazies watching on Saturday 5/22, I'll only be there for a long weekend.

I wasn't able to see the earlier version when we went 5 years ago because joyfest preempted the parade. I'm trying to remember the last time I saw the parade - I think it was still Main Street ELP in DL - maybe 93...sigh...too long ago, if I can't remember it well enough....

I'm determined to see it this time!!!
