Reader digest version: A really good friend, actually one of my closest friends from college moved to England about 15 years ago. I haven't seen her for the 15 years she has been there, but talk to her on occasion when she calls me from where ever she is. Anyway, she called me this morning and we were about to exchange emails and we got disconnected. The phone number on my caller ID has 13 numbers listed, but when I tried redial, it gave me an error message. I was wondering if I needed to add another number or exchange to get this call to connect? (She lives around Kent.)

Back story: Now you probably are wondering, why doesn't she just call me back....well she does this all the time. She is somewhat insecure and she feels she is being a burden to me when she calls because she always talks about her problems. So she says she will keep in touch on a more regular basis, but never does. She only calls me when there is a crisis or she feeling really bad about herself. She really isn't a bother, in fact I enjoy talking with her, but I know that she won't call me back until the next crisis and since I don't have her correct number, I can't call her back to let her know I'm there for her no matter what.

Anyway, I am hoping one of you can help me figure this out so I can call her back. Thanks in advance. :flower3:

Have you tried facebook? The numbers might have been 13 because of the dialling code.

Hi. You would need to call 00 44 followed by the tel number....did your friend give you a number starting 01 or 02 something? If so you need to drop the 0, so you dial 00 44 1... or 00 44 2 etc.....

I hope this makes sense if not then please can you post the first part of the number so I can help you further. (It is secure as the last 6 numbers are your friends number not the first part). :)

Oh yes, thank you!!! Here is what came across my caller ID:

3531732******

Whats the 353 then??? Just leave that off?

I'm not sure what that is but you definately don't need to add it to the number to call her back.

Just dial 00 44 1732 ****** :thumbsup2

Actually, that almost worked, but it did connect me to my phone provider that told me to add/change it to: 011-44-1732****** and then that worked!

Thank you sooooooooo much! I just called her! And now that I have her email I can communicate on a regular basis.

I can't thank you enough!!!!:flower3: :flower3: :flower3:    :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:
