Please help me decide- caribe royale or WL?

I will be attending a conference at the Caribe Royale in March. The conference rate is $189. I will be bringing my 3 year old and my Mom. My conference is over at 12 to 1:00 each day. My DM will spend the mornings at the pool or the parks and I will meet up with them. My dilemma is the new AP rates. I could stay at wilderness lodge for $179. How is the caribe and how far is it to the parks? If we stay at WL I will have to drive to the conference every morning to be there at 7:30 (and I am not a morning person!) Any guesses how long it will take me to get to Caribe royale from WL?
