Please help! How much is a cab from FLL to Hollywood Beach?

Can someone help with their best guesstimate on cab fare from Ft. Lauderdale Airport to Hollywood Beach? I'm actually thinking of taking a cab to the Hollywood Marriott for simplicity and walking to the beach from there... Anyone know the area well enough to help me out? I know it's about 6 miles but I don't know how to price cab rides... Thanks!!!

Ugh, I was afraid it would be that much, wishing there was a cheaper alternative (this is just a two hour trip to the beach and back to the airport during a layover). Thanks for the info! Was that including tip?

We recently took a cab from home in Boca Raton to the Amtrak station in Deerfield Beach, which was 4 miles, and it was about $18.00 including tip.

I tried googling first and didn't come up with anything but more people asking how much. There is one site t the top of the list but it lists locations I don't know enough about/not close enough.
