PLEASE help for new trip next week!

Hi all,

A recent crisis has made us appreciate family, and so we are planning a last minute trip to Disney world next week; taking advantage of my sister’s spring break.

Typically I take up to four months to plan a trip so a few days is really tough.

I really need your help to plan the best deal. We want to keep costs as low as possible but would still like to stay on Disney property.

Does anyone know of any good packages right now or good codes?

I don't have a lot of time to compare deals so any help would be great. There will be 3 adults (my sisters) and my 4 year old son.

We would like to stay for around 5 nights or so. Don’t really care where we stay as long as it’s on property.

We'll be at WDW next week also. There aren't any good packages and discounts are the usual AAA discount, AP discount and FL residents discount.

Your best bet is to call CRO and see if you can get into one of the Value resorts. It is supposed to be darn busy at WDW next week, so be prepared to take whatever you can get, but I would ask for POP since it is newest and has its own busses (doesn't share with any other Value). If one of the adults has a AAA membership, ask if there is any availability at the AAA rate -- you may be able to get the rate if someone else has cancelled.

you may also want to check out the DVC rent/trade board - I planned a trip on a Tuesday to leave the following Saturday (last week) and within one hour had found a renter, she made my reservation, and the check was going via FedEx.

Worked out beautifully, cost was the same at the AP rate at POP, if you factored in taxes....

I would never have thought that it could be that easy and painless!

Best of luck, don't stress about the planning, it can be done last minute.... also consider 'down time' opportunities - I usually go to Fort Wilderness for downtime, and this time had lunch at Trails End. A very relaxing afternoon on a busy day at the parks.
