What about brunch? And you can have mimosa's.![]()
We're having brunch food at our reception. it was what really sold me on having an early ceremony and reception as it is my favorite meal!
thats the time we had our wedding at. we had brunch (and as it turns out way too much food - yay!) and open bar of champagne/mimosas/bloody marys.
pre-reception: we had coffee, tea, danish etc..
reception: we had "modified" tinkerbell brunch that incuded a fruit display, salmon, bagel chips (i think) and stuff for the salmon (although no cream cheese and later i thought where is the cream cheese?!), omelet station, bacon and sausage, a chicken dish with roasted potatoes, a pasta dish with julienne veggies, mickey waffles AND cheddar cheese soup! whew! and then cake...
it was a ton of food. but yummy! i ate 2 mickey waffles, some salmon, a taste of soup, a bite of chicken and half a piece of cake. i wanted more cake.
Our ceremony was at 9:00am in Epcot (Italy). Our reception was at ADH. Our brunch menu was almost the same as sambycat.
Pre-reception: Danish, coffee, tea, champagne punch
Reception: Tinkerbell brunch (from 2008 - it is now different) fruit display, salmon, bagels, cream cheese, omelet station, bacon and sausage, a chicken dish with roasted potatoes, a pasta dish with julienne veggies, chocolate crepes, cheese crepes, antipasta station and salad station and open bar and of course wedding cake and more coffee and tea.
Our pre-reception was from 10:00 to 11:00 and our reception was from 11:00 to 3:00. We had a break after this and then met up with everyone in Epcot for our private Dessert Party in the UK.

I think you can still serve brunch after a 10am ceremony. Maybe include more lunch foods and maybe an egg dish and waffle bar as brunch foods since it will be closer to lunch time.
That's my ideal brunch menu, YUM! I'd have been very happy at your receptionAbsolutely! Our wedding was at 10 with the pre-reception at 11 with danishes, fruit, juice, etc. Our reception was at noon and we had the Gaston brunch menu which included eggs, an omelet station, breakfast meats, but also lunch foods (a pasta station), grilled chicken, veggies and salads as well. We added Mickey waffles and Mickey-roni and Cheese to our as well. We thought ours was a great balance of breakfast and lunch food.
