Ok. I'm planning for a trip down the road, ok, i need your help. I know CRT is the most favorite ADR. So what i'm asking is what is better, CRT for breakfast or dinner? What are the menu choices? I've seen in some posted pics that kids are holding "magic wands"? Do they keep them or return them? What are the normal people that show up? Is Jasmine one of them? (it will be a 2 for 1 meal if it is:goodvibes ) I have 2 DD's who love Jasmine and Cinderella. I'm just trying to make 2 DD's a great time at WDW. Do your kids still talk about CRT? How do i suprise the kids? what are the ways you have done it? Thx:yay:

how do you get to use 2 TS credits when you have to pay in full with your credit card? how do you keep the ressie?:confused3 HELP please:confused:

If you are on the DDP, you do not have to pay in full ahead of time with a credit card. CRT is a 2 TS restaurant for those on the dining plan. If you are not planning on using the DDP for this meal, it must be paid for in full at the time that you make the reservation. I cannot comment on which meal is better, as I have not dined there and I will be doing so for the first time in February for lunch! I would read the thread about CRT on the boards for more information. Good luck with your planning!

for either breakfast or dinner since we have only done lunch and enjoyed that enough that that is what we always do. Dinner is slightly different in that the princesses do not mingle during the meal. There is a show with Suzie, Perla and the Fairy Godmother. Cinderella is downstairs to greet the guests.

Here is a link to menus:

The girls (sometimes broadly interpreted) get magic wands and the boys get swords. Those are theirs to keep. There is also sometimes a wishing star which is used as part of the program.

The characters vary. I have read of Jasmine but have not personally seen her. (She is supposed to be more common at Askerhus.) I have seen Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, the Fairy Godmother, Alice and Mary Poppins.

My daughter listed Cinderella's Castle as one of her favorite places when asked a generic question at her school.

When you make your ADR, they will ask you if you are on the dining plan. That will hold the ADR for you. No need to charge it to a CC if you plan on using the two table credits.

I can't comment on breakfast or dinner, but we love lunch. We will be there in Jan. for our third lunch. The food is okay. We just love eating in the castle. Character interaction has been great. We haven't seen Jasmine there. Last trip it was Snow White, Cinderella, Belle(not in the yellow dress), Sleeping Beauty, and the Fairy God Mother. THey will ask for a Credit Card for holding the reservation. You must cancel 24 hours in advance. If you don't cancel in time or are a no show, then your credit card will be charged. When I made my reservation, I was also told to have photo id with me.

Dinner is not considered a character meal. There is little character interaction with the Fairy GM or the two mice.

Breakfast and lunch are the only character meals. We've been to both, since the change in format, and we like both. We prefer lunch, as we feel it's a better deal. The lunch is very filling and it's just smaller portions of the same food available at dinner.

Breakfast is good, but just not worth the money, in my opinion. I know you're paying for the atmosphere, the characters, etc, but you may as well enjoy a good meal too. :)

We've seen Jasmine there once, but she's more regularly at Akershus, as someone else mentioned.

Jasmine is also usually out daily behind Aladdin's Magic Carpets. I've gotten pictures of Jasmine, Genie and Aladdin all together. Just check the times guide. Guest Services has also been helpful-- they were sometimes able to give us the times certain characters would be out.

We did CRT for dinner. We didn't receive swords or wands or anything like that. But we did meet Cinderella.

As someone mentioned, dinner is not a character meal. Cindy just happened to be there.

We ate during the fireworks. You don't really get a "view" of the fireworks, because the windows aren't normal windows. You see the POP of red. Then a POP of blue. Then a POP of green.

It was pleasant. But very, very dark. My MIL literally could not see the menu.

We were at Disney in May and did CRT for breakfast. It was probably everyone's favorite thing the entire trip!!! Jasemine was at breakfast when we were there, I don't know if they change characters or what. Cindy was there, Snow White, Belle, Fairy Godmother, and Jasemine. My DD got the magic wand (to keep) and my DS got a sword (to keep). They also handed out "wishing stars" and at the end of the breakfast they did a Wishing Star Ceremony. That was just about the cutest thing I have ever seen! We have some great pictures of my daughter holding her wishing star and using her wand to make a wish. That will be a memory that I will keep forever!

We did not use our dining plan credits, I paid out of pocket with a credit card so I am not sure exactly how they hold the ressie with dining credits.

We all enjoyed the breakfast food. Everything was very good and plenty of it.

I haven't done the lunch or dinner in the castle but I think you and your family will love the breakfast.

My son (8) and even my husband still talk about it!

I hope that helps!
Have a wonderful trip!

We did an 8pm ADR there last Sept and it was really nice...I have 3 little boys so the character interaction was not an issue for us...what made it nice was we were inside the castly for Wishes...which was a new and exciting way to see them...I wasn't crazy over the dinner or even dessert but they had yummy bread.

always for breakfast and Jasmine has been there each time, along with fairy godmother, mary poppins, wendy darling(from P Pan) snow white, aurora, with cinderella downstairs, breakfast food is delish..cheesy potatoes, a blueberry cheesy stuffed blintz-like french toast, fresh fruits, cinn buns, sausages, etc, we prefer akershus in Norway because of cost$$ but have done both a number of times with girls. (have nopirate: boys)

Was there this past Sat. for lunch-12:05 seating. Had a blast as this was our final special thing we did before leaving WDW.

In addition to Cindy herself, we saw Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White and Belle. It was like princess heaven for DD. (we had already run into Mulan at the China pavilion in Epcot).

CRT's lunch menu was really great. I had been really torn about spending so much on one meal but it was worth it for the memories as DD is 5 and probably next time won't be in princess mode anymore (already she refused to bring any of her princess dresses with us). Fairy Godmother was downstairs just outside the castle so that was great.

We had seen Snow White about 4 days earlier outside of Germany in Epcot and she totally remembered DD--she said, haven't I met this little princess before--a few days ago?!!!! I was floored-how many kids must she run into each day, signing all those autographs? Our Cinderella was a little reserved, and didn't have much to say to the kids, but she was spot-on in the looks department.

We did Breakfast on our last day in May and it was probably one of, if not the best meals we had. The Castle is beautiful and the breakfast food was excellent. We had searched high and low all week for Princess Jasmine, including breakfast at Akershaus/Norway. We finally found her at the Castle breakfast and DD(5) had the time of her life, as did we all. In fact, my DD somehow lost her tiara during pictures w/Cinderella, and the servers searched extensively for it and couldn't find it. Right before we left the breakfast, Prince Charming came over to my DD with a gift card to use in the castle gift shop to replace the tiara. Unbelievable. This was worth the trip to Disney in itself. Anyway, long story short, do the breakfast ! Oh yeah, it includes your pics w/Cinderella, a wand for the little princesses and a magic wishing star (which my DD wishes upon every night to return to Disney). Enjoy! princess:
