Please explain to me why the parks close....

at 5pm....in early October on a Saturday night.????


My family and I have attentive plans to be there on Oct 2nd...and the website says the parks close at 5pm.....we won't even get there until 2:30pm or after....(flying in...)


What am I missing....its a Saturday evening....?

Halloween Horror Nights (Universals Halloween fright-oriented event) is held throughout the month of October including Saturday nights. If you can get tickets, it might be a fun thing for you to do.

IOA closed last year at 5 to get ready for HHN, which opens at 7. If you go to IOA during the day and have HHN tickets you can stay in the park from 5 to 7 and have dinner, some rides are open, and a couple of houses open early for those staying inside. Universal was open until 7 last year during HHN.

When in October do HHN start? What is the additional cost?

Why are USO hours short? HHN going back home? Both parks?

I believe they begin the first weekend of October.

Apparently. At least that's the rumor. And the park hours seem to back it up.

Both parks? That is wild. I had no idea.

They will be using both parks this year, using most of IOA and half of US (including Mummy, Shrek, Twister and Jimmy) but they might change their minds about what will be open. Screamscape has posted a "corn field" that was planted a few weeks ago...it just may be used as for the upcoming HHN.
