I am going to WDW with my husband and 4 kids 14,9,5,3. How exactly do the vouchers work and would it be worth my investment?

I don't know if I can do it exactly, but I'll give you a basic run down.

On the back of the vouchers there are lists of restaurants that you can choose to eat at. So you can either pick one in advance, or stop at the one you are closest to when you are hungry.

You decided what from the menu you would like to get. You have you choice of a entree, side dish, dessert, and (medium, I think) drink; or a "combo" meal, dessert, and drink.

You give the ticket to the cashier, and they give you your food. That's the best I can do. And things might have changed since I've been there (about a year ago).

But for an example:
Your 14 year old wants a cheeseburger, Sprite, and apple pie. The cheeseburger already comes with fries, so you don't get a side dish. I'm not sure what the total of the meal would be (about $12).

There are some places that can cost a lot if you were to pay for all that food.

The vouchers are good if you eat a lot. I remember I barely ate all my food, which was kind of a waste. But a lot of times when you have that much food you can split the meal between two people (thats what I do sometimes) and only use on voucher (and if someone is still a wee bit hungry just order a side of fries or something).

Basically, thats the way they work, I think.
