DH brough a pamphlet home from work yesterday offering employees to purchase an Entertainment book at 20%-40% off retail. There are about 44 states and Canada offered.
I have never used or even seen an Entertainment Book, but I have heard of them.
I would be interested in buying one for use on our Florida vacations, but there are 11 different books for Florida alone.
I thought every book had the same offerings in it.
Are the books very different? Does the Orlando book have only Orlando coupons/codes? Is it the Orlando book that is mentioned so often on these boards? The books are offered at $15. and $20.
with a $5. shipping charge. Is that a good deal?

Denisenh, Entertainment Books are great. I have purchased one for the past few years and found I can easily recover the cost through the amount I save using the travel discounts.

Entertainment books contain many coupons for buy one, get one free entrees for all types of restaurants (from fast food to upscale). The restaurants included vary in each book. So if you get one for Orlando, it will only include restaurants for the Greater Orlando area, and none for your hometown. Each book also includes a travel section for discounts on rental cars, airfare, and hotels which can be used at the various locations listed.

At the price you list, you're getting a good deal since most of the Entertainment Books retail for $20-$45 each. I would definitely go for it! :D

Thank you Donna for your help. I guess at the low price I can't go wrong! It sounds like I would get some use out of it and if I don't use the offers, I could just read it !! :p

the local dallas entertainment book has 12 $5 off $50 at kroger...one per month for the next 12. That's worth the price of the book alone.
Plus lots of b1g1f offers for local restaurants.

. . . but I used the card to get the entertainment card rate at the Portofino Bay Hotel last year; we stayed at the Dolphin & got a room for 1 night at the Portofino Bay but didn't stay there; we just used the room key for FOTL at IOA. They didn't care where the card came from, just that you had it.

Go for it! You really are getting a good deal.. I bought the Orlando 2003 book online and paid $40! The new book is good now through Nov 1 2003.

Although I suppose to get the most benefit out of it... you would need to have a car on your Disney trip. Lots of restaurants around Disney with BOGO offers (buy one, get one free). Plus a discount card for other restaurants, mini-golf discounts, other local attraction discounts... things like that.
