Please don't laugh...Is this really a pic of an SSR room - or old Treehouse villas???

Which college program CMs are housed there? The college CMs are at Visitana Village. Is this something new???? The college CMs that I know of, that are currently on the summer college CM program and also the ones going for the fall program are being housed at Vistana Village.

Yes there were some CP students that were housed there for a while, when it was strictly a Disney Resort for rental, but not sure they still are. Current CP students are at Vista Way, not Vistana Villas. They are also house at Chatham Apts and The Commons Apts. I know because my son is one of them, and I am familiar with all 3 housing areas.

I don't think you have to worry about any CP students being housed at SSR once it opens. Those students should be so lucky as to have housing like that. If so, I am headed to community college and signing up for the program.

As of May, 2003 they were housed in the Fairway Villas (and have been for at least a year that I'm aware of) and I doubt there has been any change since that time. This area is on the far side of the Golf Course Clubhouse from the SSR contstruction and will not cause any issue for guests at the new resort.

You can see the area from across the canal as you walk from OKW to DD. I have also walked back into the residential area from around the golf course. The Fairway Villa buildings are widely spaced and there is no direct roadway to the SSR area- you would have to travel back towards the Community Drive entrance (Main Entrance for the resort) in order to get from one section of the resort to another.

Continued use of this area of that area by CM's won't likely be something SSR guests would even be aware of from any area of the new resort. It is also clearly identified as a CM only area.

Doc when we were over at the Spa last month, it looked like the lake where the Bungalows and Reflections had been drained or almost drained. The North Studios was still standing. There is a lot of serious work going on around there. Our taxi was almost hit by a truck coming out of the pool area when the flagman was not watching. These villas would be prime location for the main pool. Will miss the golf carts they used to have for getting around the DI.

That was the case in May also. They tore down the last bungalow while we were there.

Here's a photo of that area of the site. The buildings currently under construction are behind and to the right. The Spa and check-in area are to the left across the street. The North Studios are in the distance in the center of the photo.
