My friends will be visiting WDW for their first time with kids ages 6 and 7 in October.

I've printed out the menu, but they'd love to hear what the atmostphere is like and would the kids enjoy it? Is there a water pagent or fireworks this time of year?

Also - if they visit MK for the day and want to do O'Hana's that night....should they drive or take trans. from MK to O'Hana. (they risk not being able to get back to the car with earlier hours right?)

We appreciate all comments and advice - thanks alot:D

Ohanas is a family style restaurant. The menu is set and the food is brought to your table, the meat is served kabob fashion. The theming is tropical and the servers have a lot of fun with the kids (games, races etc). if you are fortunate enough to get a window table you can see the fireworks and the EWP from the restaurant.

As for parking I think I would move my car to the hotel, especially after a long day then when you sit down you dont want to walk anymore.

thank you Grumpy92 - I wasn't thinking about how tired they should be by then....I'm sure they'd opt to drive their car over to O'Hana.

Will the fireworks and EWP times be listed somewhere close to October so they may try to get a PS to coincide with these?

I got a great review of 'Ohana dinner with pictures: 'Ohana After Dark

There is a link to the 'Ohana Character breakfast on this page in case they are interested. I've heard nothing but good things about the dinner.

We at at O'Hana last week, and the meal was excellent! I think it was our best meal on this vacation. The food and service was fabulous. We had a 5 pm PS, and parked at the Polynesian, and then took the monorail over to the MK after dinner. (The bell service at our hotel said that this was the best way to do it, and that it was okay to leave the car at the Poly). I'd highly recommend this restaurant, and the kids had a ball too! :earsgirl:

DH, DD 5 yrs and I are going to try the Ohana for dinner one night. What would be a good PS time to allow my DD to participate in games and view the fireworks that night?
