Hi,

13 of us (ages from 6 to 70) are going to Disney World from 6/24 to 6/29 for my parent's 50th anniversary. My mother asked me to make the ADR's so I tried to choose easy ones for large groups and kids (buffets, family style). I didn't want to make too many, because I don't want us to be locked in to being in a certain place too often. I'm hoping that once there, we'll be able to make dinner or lunch reservations in smaller groups (4 or 6) for the next day. Is that a bad idea? Should I just make loads of reservations now then cancel the ones we aren't going to use the day before?

Also, we're staying at the Caribbean resort. How difficult will it be to get to restaurants at other resorts?

I had hoped to make reservations at the Wishes Dessert Party, but when I made my other reservations it wasn't taking res's for June yet. I checked again last night and it's booked solid. :sad1:

Thanks!

The 2 resort ressies you have are a breeze to get to from the Magic Kingdom. In fact any resort reservation is easy to get to from any park----just take the bus from the park to that resort. Getting back you can take a bus to any park and then hop on the bus to your resort. The Wilderness Lodge and the Poly have boats from the Magic Kingdom and of course you can always take the monorail to Ohana.

We really enjoy the places you've booked. We haven't had Biergarten yet, but it gets great reviews. The only place you haven't booked that is a don't miss for us is Chef Mickey inside the Contemporary Resort. You see Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy--the big four--saving time inside the parks "character chasing.". Also, it is very cool to see the monorail passing through the hotel overhead while you eat. All ages will enjoy that. It's a buffet, so easy for a large group. Finally, it's a short walk or monorail ride from Magic Kingdom.

Thank you, Dave! The calendar is live on the website, so I assumed they were booking. I will subscribe to the thread.

Thanks StephMarty, I will book that for a lunch. We don't have any of those.

Thanks!
