Please let me know if anything jumps out as bad planning, or impossible to make it from point A to point B in time :)

I am planning for our group of 11 (8 adults and my 3 children, ages 6, 4, and 1). We will be going on the Disney Dream first and then spending 3 days in Disney before heading home. I am trying to consider everyone's need and interests with my FP selections, not pick too many that the baby can't go on, and try to pick things that we can all do together. We went 2 years ago, so I know the kids want to do the rides I selected.

Some other things to consider: the baby still needs to nap, one kid is 42 inches, the other is not (so we are skipping those attractions), this trip is in July when it will be extremely hot and crowded, and we are staying at the GF on the club level.

Day 1
  • Disembark ship, settle into hotel and eat lunch, Epcot in late afternoon/ evening
  • FP for test track (around 3:30)
  • FP for spaceship Earth (around 4:30)
  • FP for Soarin or Frozen Ever after *obviously not sure if Frozen will be available, and I may need to adjust based on the tiers (around 5:30)
  • Dinner at Via Napoli at 7:35

Day 2
  • Breakfast in the GF Club lounge early, head to park around opening
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with no FP (is this dumb? I was just thinking that I didn't want to waste a FP on this because not everyone will go on, and it is likely that one or both of my kids will balk at the last second)
  • FP for Under the Sea (around 9:30)
  • FP for Dumbo (around 11)
  • FP for Peter Pan's Flight (around noon)
  • Back to hotel to rest/ lunch/ maybe pool if we decide not to head back to the park
  • Dinner at the California Grill at 7:05

Day 3
  • Breakfast in the GF Club lounge early, head to park around opening
  • FP for Buzz LightYear (around 9:30)
  • FP for Tomorrowland Speedway (around 10ish)
  • Back to hotel for lunch/ rest
  • FP for Pirate's of the Caribbean (4ish)
  • Dinner at Kona at 6:55
Then we have an 11:30am flight the next morning, so we will eat in the GF club lounge early and then head out.

If you "head to park around opening," You will be at the very back of the pack. Expect a 60 minute wait for 7DMT.

Why not get 7DMT fastpasses for those that are riding it and something else for those that aren't?

Prepare yourself for the possibility that evryone sticking together for 3 days may not work.

Depending on the time of year, you may or may not need a FP for Buzz at 930 am. Pirates on a less crowded day you may not need a FP for also. The 7d mine train you will need a FP for.
At epcot, getting Soarin and tt and the new frozen ride may not be possible in the same day as they are all Tier 1 fP.

And you may not need all 8 adults to leave the parks and go back to the rooms when you take a break. Maybe you can take turns with that and allow at least some of the adults more time in the parks.

It is likely that most of the group will want to leave in the heat of the day around lunch time- but if not, they are welcome to stay and I will happily head back with the baby :)

You are totally right about Pirates and Buzz... I noticed that last time. As it got later in the day, there were no lines for those rides. Not sure what FP I would substitute though?

That is a good point- maybe I should do the FP for the Mine Train, and I know my in laws won't want to ride it... they can do something else with the baby, maybe take her to meet Minnie or something.

You 100% will want a FP for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train if any you plan on riding it. Schedule it for everyone and for whoever decides not to go, you can always change it to something else for them.
