DD 17 and I will be doing our first "solo" trip this August. It will be our first visit to the All Star Movies resort and our first trip just us two. We have booked the Fairy Tale vacation package and will therefore have UMPs. I would appreciate any suggestions or even criticisms about our plans thus far....

Wednesday August 20:
Arrive 10:30am. Towncar pickup, grocery stop, checkin at ASMo. Bus to MGM.
Late lunch p.s. at Brown Derby (DD LOVES the mushroom appetizer) at 3:00pm.
Tour until closing, buy fast food to eat while waiting for Fantasmic at 8:30pm.

Thursday August 21:
Magic Kingdom early entry (Mountains blitz!) Plaza Restaurant p.s. at 12:30pm
Bus back to the ASMo for swim and rest
Epcot Future World (leave those attractions which close late until later)
Exit through International Gateway and walk to Beach Club resort for a late dinner at Beaches & Cream (we both LOVE the burgers there!)
Walk back through Future World and bus back to ASMo.

Friday August 22:
Animal Kingdom early entry: bring a beachbag with swim stuff, etc.
Rainforest Cafe lunch ps. at 12:30pm. Bus to Blizzard Beach (not AKL or AllStar).
Bus back to ASMo to shower and change when we're tired or at 7:00pm closing.
Disney Quest evening. Late dinner at Planet Hollywood.

Saturday August 23:
MGM early entry: Prime Time Cafe lunch p.s. at 12:30pm
Bus back to ASMo for swim and rest
Magic Kingdom: Tony's Town Square dinner p.s. at 6:45pm (or Casey's).
Spectromagic at 8:30pm (yes I know it will be PACKED, but DD really wants to see this again)

Sunday August 24: sleep in day.
Bus to Typhoon Lagoon when we want. Bring change of clothes (fast food lunch).
Bus to Beach Club. Walk to International Gateway. Leave beachbag in locker.
World Showcase tour. Dinner p.s. at Le Cellier at 7:30pm. Illuminations 9:00pm.

Monday August 25: IOA & Universal full day (Mythos lunch & NBA City dinner)
if we have any energy, we may repeat DQ or go to Pleasure Island in evening.

Tueday August 26:
Magic Kingdom: 9:00am train to Frontierland -> Cosmic Ray's late lunch
Bus back to ASMo to swim and rest
MGM: Brown Derby dinner at 6:30pm (DD's favorite restaurant last trip!)

If we have any extra energy, we'll definitely hit DQ & PI more often, but this looks like the plan for right now. Any experts or otherwise have any thoughts on our plans? I'd love to hear any thoughts!

I'm not sure what time you plan on eating but the Int'l Gateway may be closed if it is really late. If you don't feel like walking all the way back through Future World you can take a cab back to the All Stars from the Beach Club. Another alternative is to hop on the boat from the Yacht/Beach Club and take it to MGM (I see MGM closes at 8:30). From there you can catch the bus to the All Stars with minimal walking.

Looks well planned - two things I noticed:

1) Like Epcotfan, wondering about that walk back through the IG and then FW to the busses - also from the perspective of do you want to walk that much at the end of the day?

2) "Friday August 22:

Do you think there is a chance that BB might be closed to new entrants or be too busy to enjoy?

Thanks

I hadn't really considered that loooongg walk back from B&C. The taxi idea is definitely a good one!

With the Blizzard Beach plan, I thought we'd do Cross Country Creek and the pool for a bit until the crowds thin out (I want to try this plan because on previous trips it gets busy sooooo fast at BB that even the mornings seem jammed) ... hopefully it's late enough in August that school's will be back open to lessen the crowds somewhat, but do they close the park to WDW resort guests if it gets too busy???
