Please clarify for me...about MNSSHP entry time

We made an ADR at Crystal Palace for 5:10pm on 9/29 before the MNSSHP. We were told at the time that party goers could enter the park with the party ticket at 4pm. Is this still the case? I've read all the posts about Disney's decision not to close the park at 6pm to day guests...but is there a new "entry" time for party goers?

In previous years it has been 4pm. However, this year, depending on which CM you talk to, the time you are allowed to enter seems to vary greatly. Some still report that you can enter at 4pm, while others insist that you may not enter prior to 7pm unless you are using a normal MYW or passholder ticket. I guess we'll find out for certain on the first night of MNSSHP.

Considering that they have consistently let people in at 4 the past few parties, and allowed people to make ADR's for anytime after 4, I would be shocked if they didn't people in at 4 this year.

I would tend to agree with that assessment.

In general only the CM's at MK are told about the 4pm entry allowance. If you ask the front desk or the reservation center CM's they are going to tell you 7pm because that is the "offical" start time of the party. As of right now they are still planning to allow you in anytime after 4pm. If I hear any differently I will definetly post.

We are also relying on the early entry. We made ADR at LTT for 5:55 on 9/15 (first MNSSHP). I wasn't even able to make them that late (I originally had 4:10) until I told the CM that there was a special event that night. She checked that list and that's when we got 5:55. So, I also have to assume that we will be let in as early as 4 p.m. as they have done in the past. If not, we won't be able to keep our ADR.

This is our first MNSSHP. I will post a report when we get back as to how it worked (early entry, other park goers remaining in park) when we get back. We'll be home on the 20th.

we have ADRs at 1900 park fare for 5pm, just 2 adults..we'll get right on the monorail right after dinner and hit the park/MNSSHP on the 31rst

I originally made ADRs for The Plaza Restaurant for 4:30 PM on 9/29, after the CM told me I could get in at 4 PM with the MNSSHP ticket. She said there would be no problem and I just needed to have my reservation # to be let in early.

I called back to add a person to the ADR and had to switch the time to 4:10 PM. Since it was so close to 4, I asked this CM if we'd be let in at 4 PM and be able to make the reservation time. She told me I'd only be let in at 4 PM if I had a regular ticket. She said she'd worked there many many years and insisted that they did not let people in early.

I called back a 3rd time to see if there were any later reservations (originally Plaza's last seating was at 4:30 PM), and they had plenty of openings up until 6 or 7. I guess they decided to open the restaurant later to accomodate the free dining crowds (?). Anyway, I got a 5:30 PM seating and asked again if I'd be allowed in early. The CM said the same thing as the first one-- I could get in early as long as I gave them my reservation #.

I sure hope we can get in early! I love MNSSHP and I run out of time to actually go on any rides. If I knew in the past that I would be able to get in early, I would have been there at 4 on the nose! By arriving at 7, there's always such a long line!

We have a 3:50PM ADR for Crystal Palace 9/15, we'll just have to see ;) CM mentioned nothing about the MNSSHP that day, but LTT was booked until the only time for ADR we could get 7:20PM ( we went with CP instead!)

It's our first MNSSHP ever!!!

We don't want to miss out, I wish someone had some kind of schedule of that night, I don't want to miss out on the fun stuff...the candy part is not that important for us ;)

The perk/bonus of being able to enter at 4:00p with just the party ticket is an unofficial perk and cannot always be confirmed by those on the phone at Disney Dining AND it can be revoked at any time.

Can I clarify something? This thread mentions alot about if you have an ADR you can get in early.

In years past, you did not have to have a reservation # for dinner to get in at 4 pm, did you? We don't plan on eating at a table service restaurant tht night, but would like to get in early if possible.

Thanks!

Like I said its unofficial and not a guarantee but yes, you've been able to get in after 4:00p with just your party tickets for the past few years whether you had an ADR or not.
