Please bring a second set of eyeglasses

can't imagine why europeans would want to buy glasses in the states...
anything from europe is typically going to be much more expensive in the states....
for example, the frameless plastic ones (Zeiss?) come from europe and are generally quite expensive in the states....

All I know is what the sales woman related to me. I'd hazard a guess that most of those buying the glasses weren't particularly interested in investing in a pair of Zeiss lenses, rather they were more interested in having some of the fashion frames.

Thanks for posting this advice. We always take a spare pair each on holiday, ever since DH lost his on the bus in the days he did not need to wear them all the time! Luckily he can manage without his (although not to drive) but I am as blind as a bat without my specs or lens.

this thread reminds me of when my glasses broke on space mountain at dlrp while they were in my bag so when i went on the rock and roll rollor coaster i left them with someone who was not going on the ride.
I was gutted when my sister told me all about the cool stuff in the queing area that i could not see, cos aerosmith are my fave band. next time i will use my glasses case.

so i think its good advice.
