How do they do the dining plan? Are the 'available points' on each person's room key? So, if my sister's children want to go to dinner with us one night (instead of with her parents) would that be a problem? Would I just need to make sure I carried her room key with us? I hope this is making sense! LOL

they do assign points to your room key, you can use your points anyway you choose! If you want to use them all at once and pay for all the tables dining around you, you can! Just let me know when and where I should be! :)

Each person in your groups points are not specifically on a card for them. They are all pooled together and you can use anyone in your groups card to pay for the meals.

Is there a difference between kids and adults. I read somewhere that you should pay for a couple of the kids cheaper meals (at a table service rest.) with cash and save the points for an extra character meal or show. Does that work?

No distinction made between kids and adults credits. If you are a party of 4 with the plan for 6 days you would have:
24 CS credits
24 TS credits
24 snack credits
They are not assigned to a person or an age group. Just to your key(s).

So if I'm understanding this correctly, you could pay $10/day for a kids meal pass and use it to double your own credits and go to a signature restaurant. Could this possibly be right? Then the kids could still get the counter service and snack credits and it would be like going to a signature dining place for only 2 or 3 dollars more. It seems like a fantastic deal....maybe a little dishonest.....but a really fantastic deal! Don't you think once Disney gets wind of what's happening they will do something to make kids credits good for kids only? And what happens if you go to use your kids credits for an adult meal and get caught? Personally, I would be so afraid of getting "busted", I don't know if I could do it. Does anybody else feel like this?

It is okay to do this. Disney is aware of it and has not chosen to change it. They are still getting your money. I am sure they have calculated all the risks and losses.

Have a great trip!
