Plaza Restaurant-strawberry salad w/o chicken?

At the Plaza Restaurant, has anyone here ever ordered the chicken-strawberry salad without the chicken? Recently I ordered the entree salad at Liberty Tree Tavern without the chicken and it was excellent. Also left more room for Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake! Thinking of ordering similarly at Plaza Restaurant if that's possible.

I can't imagine Disney wouldn't be accommodating to that. They're usually pretty good about omitting unwanted components... Especially at Table Service restaurants.

My Mom is the one that always orders "x on the side" or "without" and nowhere at Disney has that ever been an issue.

I haven't tried the Plaza, but I'm sure you could get the salad without chicken.

Can't possibly imagine it would be an issue. I order the fried green tomato sandwich without bacon all the time, for example. I would just be aware they will likely charge you full menu price as if the chicken had been included, though.

Thanks for the warning. Although I kind of expected that the first time I did it, at Liberty Tree Tavern, surprisingly they charged me about $5 less. I was so pleasantly surprised, but I should realize that they might not be the norm,but Plaza Restaurant may be.

Occasionally there are those happy surprises - usually chefs or servers who recognize that their restaurant has limited veg options and that "create your own" is the best route available. Usually it's just menu price, though!

That's what I've gotten there ever since they got rid of the vegetable pot pie.
